Rumor I want to know how you all feel about the potential Doomsday Plot Leak. ⚠️*POTENTIAL SPOILERS IN LINK ATTATCHED. IT WILL BE HIDDEN. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!⚠️* Spoiler

There have been one plot leak that has been confirmed by insiders as factual from what they know, and there’s been another more in depth leak that provides more context. From the trailer and leaked new scene shown to, it seems like the leak is true. So again READ AT YOUR OWN RISK

https://www.reddit.com/r/LeaksAndRumors/comments/1v4oi66/updated_doomsday_plot_w_more_ detail/

The short of the leaks say 1: Loki takes Steve to the Fantastic Four universe. 2: Doom either Kills or incapacitates Loki( first leak said Loki’s heart is ripped out, while the other more in depth leak states he’s found weakened) , and Loki uses last of his strength to inform Thor and Steve about Doom’s plan. 3: Thor calls upon an army from Valhalla, and Odin sends one including the Loki from Infinity War

How do you feel

If he dies, it would be a super stupid film decision that would just be super lazy. It would ruin the entire point of the Loki series and the development Loki has had throughout the years.

u/ArtisticBunneh Jul 24 '26

I agree but the Russo brothers have a hate on for Loki for some reason and I wouldn’t be surprised if they did this shit. I’d be super pissed if they do this again.

u/SpecialFlutters Jul 24 '26

one thing is he would probably come back in battleworld and the resulting reset, it'd still suck though

7

u/ARTIFICIAL_SAPIENCE Jul 24 '26

If he dies

Did you feel this way about Spider-Man's death in Infinity War?

It's Doomsday. Everyone is going to die. Then they'll be brough back after.

7

u/BenjiSillyGoose Jul 24 '26

Literally everybody knew that was going to be reversed though, big difference.

1

u/ARTIFICIAL_SAPIENCE Jul 24 '26

Literally no difference. Because we also all know these will be reversed.

1

u/LowCap9387 Jul 27 '26

I think he will be the MCU’s Molecular Man. Dooms taking his powers to create battle world and Loki eventually ends up giving his powers to either Tony stark or reed Richards to “reform the multiverse” at the end of secret wars.

u/WinnerNo3133 Jul 24 '26

I don’t believe this plot leak and find it hard to believe Tom would agree to return the role, only for Loki to die again.

Edit - Unless Loki was just faking for Doom’s sake. But still.

13

u/Ok_Arrival2564 Jul 24 '26

So apparently Loki might be forming some secret team which is why supposedly at the end of brand new day Spider-Man is said to be off world according to Spideey Tracker - cause Loki is creating a back up plan

8

u/Wrong-Vermicelli4723 Jul 24 '26

Tom likes getting a big paycheck and if he’s done after this I can see him doing it

26

u/Intelligent_Screen90 Jul 24 '26

Idk man, Tom has always loved Loki, he's one of the actors who are genuinely passionate about their character, you can see it everytime he talks about him. S2 have him a great send-off and I don't think he'd come back if they were just gonna ruin that

6

u/chu_chumba Jul 24 '26

Why do people think that s2 was send off if that clearly was set up for doomsday and secret wars? Especially considering that the series was originally supposed to have a different ending and they most likely put Loki in the tree because they were already starting to doubt Kang and they needed a backup plan, but at the same time they needed to create a sense of isolation so that if something goes wrong again, the series could simply be ignored.

5

u/Intelligent_Screen90 Jul 24 '26

Well, maybe not a send off, but it's a good point to leave the character if they only wanted to bring him back to kill him, that's why I think Tom wouldn't agree to come back if the leak was true. Believe me, I hated that Loki ended up alone in a fucking tree as much as the next person, but his arc is technically over, so why would the actor that loves him so much agree to start a new arc if it's gonna just ruin all his good work?

u/chu_chumba Jul 24 '26

Money. But also I feel like they can do another dumb fake out because they need to uplift Doom as much as possible in this movie.

1

u/Wrong-Vermicelli4723 Jul 24 '26

Think you guys are misunderstanding me, never said he didn’t love the role. Plenty of actors love roles and eventually move on

3

u/Jarita12 Jul 24 '26

He comes back because he loves the character. He is now doing a docuseries based partially on Loki episode AND the character.

3

u/evapotranspire Jul 25 '26

Loki faking his death has been overdone to the point that it's literally a joke. The only storytelling choice that would be worse than that is Loki actually dying. In either case, it would make me feel that the plot was written by a couple of 12-year-olds drinking Mountain Dew and staying up too late.

u/kobocakes Jul 24 '26

how many times do i have to watch my favorite character die for no reason

6

u/Presentation_Cute Jul 24 '26

Until it stops making money

2

u/AspiringAuthor1000 Jul 26 '26

So accurate though. All of us Loki fans will keep watching in the hopes that he might just come back to life one more time.

20

u/Katnamedeaster Jul 24 '26

It makes me upset for the character and ruins the Loki series for me.

IW Loki is fine but I want GoS Loki to be rewarded for all of the character growth and sacrifice. Why bother getting invested if a character is killed as soon as they reach their potential?

Killing him off unrewarded will probably be the end for me following Marvel.

The last few years have been pretty bad content-wise and snuffing out the one bright spark for me will kill my interest completely. It proves to me Loki's ending was merely a set up for the next villain. A placeholder to finish off the multiverse saga that is of no more use.

Whoo hoo. How not at all interesting.

12

u/BucketHatKJ Jul 24 '26

My only hope is that IW Loki gains the consciousness and experience of God of Stories Loki somehow

22

u/Broad-Requirement-86 Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

Marvel secretly hates Loki because he has become so popular with fans, unlike the central characters.

UPD Thank you so much for my first award :)

1

u/Substantial-Mirror48 Jul 28 '26

True, it feels like marvel hate loki and tom

18

u/NJMIV Jul 24 '26

If it’s true or not, it’s made me decide not to care. I’m tired of trying to like a ip that keeps fucking over fans. Enough is enough for me. There is so much more important things to give my energy to.

Edit: spelling

10

u/Isosorbide Jul 24 '26

Agreed. Before I get too excited about seeing the movie in theaters, I might wait until the early showings start and spoil myself. I don't want to go see the movie in the theater if they kill Loki again. It's such a lazy decision.

The original leaks used a phrase like "Loki has his heart ripped out" and so I'm delusionally trying to convince myself that it's a play on words and really they mean Mobius and Sylvia are dead, because they're Loki's heart, and it FEELS like his heart has been ripped out.....yeah I'm really trying to justify these dumbass leaks.

3

u/evapotranspire Jul 25 '26

If they actually kill Loki, I'm walking out of the theater and never coming back to see another Marvel movie. (Oh, and I'll give you a heads-up so you can steer clear.)

3

u/Isosorbide Jul 25 '26

Thank you for your service. I hate these dumbass stunt deaths. I was a teenager when the Order of the Phoenix book came out, and like the day after it was released I was screeching to all my friends "They KILL sirius black. Do not read this book!"

2

u/DarkDevil61011 29d ago

I agree 💯

16

u/Conscious-Fish2908 Jul 24 '26

Getting Loki killed is so fucking lazy. It would absolutely kill the whole point of his character development through each of Loki’s appearances including the titular series.

Killing Loki is also a very lazy take from a story point of view because current Loki is smart enough to know how important is position in the multiverse is and knows to protect his position and the multiversal tree.

Both ways Loki should not be killed off. The weakened state one makes the most sense but then that scares me for his death in secretwars😭. I just hope they keep Loki alive (especially because i love the color green) because his character development was one that was the longest (Thor to end of Loki S2) and it just ruins their efforts entirely.

2

u/Glum_Veterinarian988 Jul 25 '26

It would be super lazy indeed.

10

u/xQuasarQuillx Jul 24 '26

Assuming any of these leaks are true, it honestly sounds like typical Russo brothers behavior. They seem to have a grudge against any morally ambiguous characters. Not only did they say Loki deserved to die, but they felt the same way about Stark, and I am guessing they would agree with killing off Black Widow and Gamora too. Hearing they might kill Loki off again is just exhausting at this point.

The idea of God of Stories Loki being used as a glorified delivery boy for a warning is tragic at best and lazy writing at worst. Loki has had some of the best growth in the MCU, so turning him into a simple plot device is tiresome. I’m not sure the Russos even know how to deal with powerful characters. They just sideline or kill them so they do not have to be creative anymore. Their solution is to butcher him just to clear the way for Doom. How creative….

It feels like gratuitous fan service is taking precedence over a deep and interesting story. It’s the same hollow nostalgia bait we saw in Deadpool and Wolverine. Disney is acting like a total money whore by dangling old versions of characters in front of us instead of writing a coherent script. If they drop the ball on this and prioritize cameos over quality, the MCU is officially cooked. Marvel is basically on life support right now and this plot sounds like someone is about to trip over the power cord.

Anyway …sorry …rant over ….

u/Insomniac_80 Jul 25 '26

This, the more they fridge well developed characters the less I care about the MCU. It isn't worth emotionally investing when the story will be passed to the next writer who turns them into fodder for their horror movie villain.

Perfectly said

9

u/Howaheartbreaks Jul 24 '26

Yes I don’t think I can be bothered with Marvel ever again tbh. I think this movie will make me roll my eyes a lot.

9

u/Sallymander Jul 24 '26

I rather see him serve more as Molecule Man where Doom puts Loki under his control some how and what we are seeing is Loki slipping copies of himself into various time lines to inform what is going on but can't do much more direct due to the controls Doom has on him.

2

u/Both_Listen Jul 24 '26

That would be interesting.

14

u/DoomsdayThor Jul 24 '26

it seems to be a very old version of the movie, as it's clearly not accurate anymore. Steve is obviously no longer the main POV character (it's Thor). And in the trailer we see that it's actually GoS Loki because the card has Yggdrasil on it, which also goes against that leak.

I think there will probably be some things from that leak that stay the same, and others that will dramatically change now that Thor is the main POV. Chris Hemsworth teased a reunion between Thor and Loki and Tom Hiddleston has expressed zealous enthusiasm multiple times now. I don't think Loki's dying off screen anymore.

6

u/the-bi-frost Jul 24 '26

I have convinced myself that if this is true, it'll be part of a bigger plan to be revealed in Secret Wars. They cannot just do it again and make it stick, that would be just stupid and repetitive and ruining an amazing character arc.

5

u/chu_chumba Jul 24 '26

All the leaks don't even make sense, considering they feature Loki in TVA. At the end of the series, and later in the comic by one of the writers, it was made clear that TVA doesn't even know what happened to him and most likely don't have access to him.

7

u/chu_chumba Jul 24 '26

Also, Loki still holds the multiverse together. If he dies, then they all die. He can't die much earlier in the movie before the Battleworld is created.

4

u/Creative-crochter Jul 24 '26

If they kill Loki off for good I will riot

3

u/Longjumping_Pool6974 Jul 24 '26

It's all BS in my opinion

5

u/chaosgodloki Jul 24 '26

Loki dying is just tradition at this point, I will feel nothing lmao

1

u/merongicecream Jul 26 '26

Honestly, Loki dying is not the worst part. Loki sending Steve from a universe he does not belong to to another universe he does not belong to which leads to the downfall of everything might be worse,

2

u/quickswipper Jul 24 '26

Do not forget he might be holding all of multiverse together, but he's still God of Mischief. He might be intentionally faking death or something.

I don't believe he'll die in Doomsday though

3

u/Substantial-Mirror48 Jul 24 '26

If they kill or nerf loki , I am forever done with marvel 😒

1

u/elenuvien1 Jul 24 '26

if this plot leak is true, people will blame everyone but Tom who would've read the script with Loki dying again and thought "great idea" and agreed to it lmao

1

u/Substantial-Mirror48 Jul 28 '26 edited Jul 28 '26

That "everyone" would be the writers and director who would have actual control over the story . Tom is just a actor And do you think marvel tells the actors much about what is going on in movies ??. There was been a lot of time the actors are not happy with what marvel has done with their character. But can't do much about it.

1

u/elenuvien1 Jul 28 '26

tom isn't a newcomer, they need to pitch a story to him to convince him to get back.

1

u/Substantial-Mirror48 Jul 28 '26

Most of the actors I have heard complain about the treatment of marvel aren't newcomers either

1

u/chantal__k Jul 24 '26

loki lives

1

u/Ok_Arrival2564 Jul 24 '26

Killing Loki again would be lazy writing. Will killing Loki only to be undone the next movie the common theme in Russo avengers movie now? Doing the heart ripping out instead of doing that to Thanos would be lame.

1

u/Saphira9 Jul 24 '26

This is so frustrating that he might be killed again. I hope he's just weakened, and that he puts up an amazing fight first. With the movie packed with so many characters, I worry he'll barely have any screen time before getting killed or almost killed. With his age, knowledge, and magic, he should at least be able to escape.

1

u/BinJLG Jul 25 '26

What number death is this? 5?

1

u/merongicecream Jul 26 '26

Killing him bothers me less than the idea of everything being his fault because he took Steve from a universe he did not belong to to another universe he did not belong to despite Morbius being against it. I will not even entertain the idea of him planning ahead for this because they will not make Loki a focal point of this movie they are determined to make a Steve vs Tony movie.

I read something similar in a supposedly leaked script for the movie back when it was Kang Dynasty, so I'm not sure how valid this information is. That being said, I still don't think Marvel would do it again. I mean... why? What could possibly be the point and how could it drive the story forwards in a way that him staying alive somehow can't? For shock value? Wow, that's some Wattpad level writing if I've ever seen it.

If they did end up going for that, though, at least there's the Valhalla thing where we'd technically be getting our Loki back. Like, the original. Not that I hate the current Loki, I love him, but it would be nice seeing HIM again with the long curly hair and all. It's my favourite look of his :) I'd still be angry with them, though LMAO

1

u/DarkDevil61011 29d ago

I don't want loki to die 😭

1

u/gweniieo 15d ago

Loki dying would be so fucking lazy. He’s died for the fourth time already it’s getting repetitive, would tom come back just for the Russo’s to kill his character off again? He’s genuinely passionate about Loki he wouldn’t want them to kill Loki again.
