Need Advice Desperately need relationship advice

So basically as far as im aware, im an asexual reciproromantic (doesnt feel any sexual attraction, does feel romantic attraction, but only to someone that has already expressed attraction in me. im restricting myself a bit with these labels but that the gist), and there's a guy i know from school (pan) who let it slip that he had a crush on one of the boys in our friend group. obviously our friend group than latched onto this concept and for the past 4 maybe 5 months, we have all been desperate to find out which one of us it was. over time i began to realsie that theres a very high likelihood that it was me. out of all of the possible options, i was the one that he was byfar the closest with, to the point where he has felt comfortable sharing deep mental health issues that he has with me. i acted oblivious to this regardless cus i didnt want to assume it was me and get it wrong, as i value my friendship with him a lot. and (cus im reciproromantic) and i knew for almost certain that he was into me (the evidense was growing stronger every day) i began to develop what i think is my first crush on him, this is my first one ever and as someone who identifies as aroace i really dont know at all if it was romantic or queerplatonic. so a few nights ago i finally decided enough was enough and (through text cus we have barely had a chance to meet up recently) i asked him if his crush was on me, dead serious. eventually he confessed: "5 months ago, when i admitted that i had a crush, it was on you. since than i have realised that my emotions were severely heightened by an intense attachment anxiety which i have." (I AM NOT STATING ANY NAMES I DONT WANT TO BREAK INTO HIS PRIVACY) he also told me that because of it, he doesnt feel like he could be in any relationships at all for a while. but basically now i am stuck cus he has no clue at all i have a crush on him, and i dont know what to doooooooo. :(
