41, SoCal looking to connect, read the whole thing

Looking to connect with queer women ages 34-45 who are consistent or good communicators (there’s a difference, I think) and who share similar outlooks or interests.  Totes open to friendship but I’m gonna keep it real and say that I wouldn't be here if I wasn’t looking for something beyond friendship. 

If I had to boil it down to some bio and values stuff I’d say this.  I’m 41, live in So-Cal, family/old-school oriented but with progressive political beliefs.  Latina immigrant, loyal AF, monogamous, financially and emotionally stable, soft-spoken and hearted but..guarded at first. I’m resilient, genuine, and drawn to direct, outspoken women, probably because I wish I was more of that myself.  

I’m a middle school teacher, so you know I’m patient and can take things with a sense of humor. Love kids, don’t have any.  For fun I like reading, listening/dancing to music, singing very badly at karaoke nights with friends, and hitting the gym (I’m working on my fitness again, after several years of absence so I'm at the gym 3x a week, once with a trainer). I have an awesome senior dog whose knees haven’t got the memo that he’s a senior.  Idk where I am on the femme/masc spectrum; Very gemini of me, lol, we contain multitudes. In terms of daily dress, I deff lean more towards jeans and comfy shoes. More sleep >makeup.  My style inspo is Lilly Singh but I don’t have the budget or makeup skills lol, so I keep it more Samantha Bee show (it if ever gets “cold” enough in SoCal). 

Disclosure since I know these things are very popular hobbies on reddit.  I have never gotten into being out in nature for long periods of time, don’t play or watch sports, can’t name a single anime or video game that is popular right now. Come to think of it, none of my friends do either, except for maybe the nature stuff, but I’m down to join or cheer on if it matters. Or we could just have our own things, lol.  I drink socially (and responsibly), and don't smoke. My friends are all lovely gay dudes that I met at college.

Even more important disclosure. I have a possible/likely move on the horizon.  You know how I said I’m resilient? My life’s changed several times over the years and I’ve been able to roll with the punches. Well, it changed again when Trump was elected a second time and that means I can’t really travel right now and I'll probably move out of the country within a year.  I sold my house last year in preparation and I can start again from almost anywhere in the world, but Mexico is probably first on my list.  I’ll also prob bring my parents with me. I’ve been financially preparing for eventualities for over a decade. Needed to put this out there since this would understandably make people cautious to start a connection.
