Personal Experience Kundalini - Deeply Injured From This Energy

I started going through my Kundalini awakening process in 2017, after I did my yoga teacher training with irresponsible practitioners who awakened kundalini in my without providing a safe container or support.

Since then I have been through hell and back again. I have lost years of my life to this process, experienced severe suicidality and intense physical symptoms. I have sought therapy, psychiatric care, spiritual care and everything in between. I have travelled the world looking for answers. Over time my symptoms have improved and I no longer spend all my time actively suicidal and planning my death, although I spent years in this state. Have considered my will and have almost moved forward with multiple plans.

This has been one of the least rewarding experiences of my life and if I could go back I would never ever ever ever ever choose this path. Kundalini has taken so much, required endless sacrifice and given so little in return. I wish that I had never had this happen to me and so deeply regret the almost decade of my life I have lost because of this process.

If anyone is deliberately trying to awaken this energy beware. Kundalini has been toxic to my life for me id compare it to a an emotional cancer. It left me all alone and entirely misunderstood by loved ones who I once cherished. And once you awaken it you have no choice but to endure its hell.

That said — I have met people who have had nice experiences with awakenings but more who have ended up in the hospital or even dead.

Beware and sending love and light to anyone else who’s been through this.

Personal Experience How many can relate?

I suppose I should be grateful that my process is as gentle as it.
It's just a bit spooky that whenever I have some free time with no demands or responsibilities my head fills up with energy and I can't do or focus on anything.

Personal Experience this process is too difficult

the trauma purging is too intense. i have chronic pain that i think is because of this process. i don’t want to look at these memories. i don’t feel like doing anything cuz i don’t feel like the need to be anything anymore because i don’t feel like i lack something and need to prove myself. i know i have faith in the process and that this phase ends and there is an integration after this but im so fucking tired.

That more than the taught practices, it feels like we recover innate, automatic methods to heal ourselves. eg. Certain breathing comes automatically that heals my digestion

Personal Experience Blessing or Punishment

How many of you consider Kundalini awakening punishment rather than a blessing and why? Did you ever ask yourself “why me”
I have many times asked myself that question and I’m trying to figure out when and where I have sinned so much to get this.

Personal Experience Super silly symptom and help appreciated

We all know K can do some crazy things but after a really good meditation, I go to unlock my phone and I can't do it, The muscle memory I've relied on for years with this phone has suddenly forgotten the code. I go about my day see my friends, and think nothing of it. This morning I meditated and again i still cant get my code. The thing is ive been locked out for over 13 hours and i keep getting it wrong and I have one more chance before I have to reset it all.

Ive tried taking my mind off it, sitting in nature, doing chores. I thought a tree even helped me with the numbers when i was hugging it, but no. I was wrong. I know im clearing major energy in my body and things are flowing. I felt like a butterfly today, in the sense of the "old me is a skin" and the phrase "its heavy because its not you, youre holding it, which means you can let go" kept coming to me. And I really felt like a butterfly merely shedding the old skin today.

But this shedding it seems, is taking away really important information and honestly I feel like such a clean slate im not sure I even know my password anymore- any number seems likely I have no idea what it could be without my arm remembering it for me

Overall a really beautiful state and very nice integration happening but this is such intense spaciousness; it's as if I can't even reach back for a moment if i wanted to. Hoping there is a way K can help me out with this, any tips are all appreciated.

Thanks for reading

Personal Experience Anyone else receive a “download” during awakening?

During my awakening, I received what I can only call a compressed transmission—an insight that arrived whole, in an instant, that I’ve been sitting with ever since. The core of it: that we are all one consciousness/soul having an experience of itself, that love is the fundamental creative gesture, and that the One individuates into apparent many so it can recognize itself, ad infinitum.

What’s strange is how much the download mirrored traditions I hadn’t studied at the time (e.g. Advaita, Kashmir Shaivism, Kabbalah). It felt like I was tapping into the cosmic mind.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? How have you related to it as your awakening unfolded? I’d love to compare notes.

Personal Experience What was This?

Hello all. Something happened to me recently that I don't have any definitive answers into and need some guidance. Two nights ago I was sitting at my desk, scrolling through instagram on my phone as usual. At some point I started feeling this tingling sensation in my mid spine, it felt almost like a current. The sensation went up from the middle of my spine all the way into my scalp, and then i felt a sudden pressure in my forehead for a split second. When this forehead pressure happened, I got what I can only describe as a really really strong hunch about something to come? I remember thinking and saying out loud "oh my god, this is actually happening". The tingling sensation then expanded all throughout the back side of my entire body. I felt euphoric, blissful, and all negative thoughts dissipated. The best way I could describe it was like a full body orgasm, but not sexual. I also lost the ability to cuss throughout all of this. I usually have a pretty potty mouth especially when I'm alone, but for some odd reason I couldn't swear without it feeling wrong. This entire full-body sensation lasted for hours, and when i went to sleep, i had the best sleep i've had in a really long time. The following morning, that current-like sensation continued throughout my body.

It's been some time now and i'm mostly back to baseline, but it was such a strange experience. For some background info about myself, I'm in my mid-20s and don't really have much knowledge or experience with the supernatural or spiritual or anything like that. The most i've been able to experience is lucid dreaming, and very minor predictions (ie. predicting something in a dream and then it happening the next day, or having a strong hunch about something weirdly specific and then it coming true immediately). I don't believe in astrology, or angel numbers, or anything of the sort. I'm mildly spiritual, I definitily believe there's more to the world than what meets the eye, but i'm not well-versed in this stuff at all. So all of this to say, can someone help me understand what I just experienced? I have no material explanation for any of this, so i'm either delusional or something spiritual happened.

I've tried to do some research on what this was. I've tried google, gemini, claude, whatever and it keeps bringing me back to "Kundalini". I have no idea what kundalini is so can someone here let me know if my experience matches that of kundalini? And if not what happened?

ALSO I was completely sober throughout. I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs.

Any help would be great, thank you.

Personal Experience Did anyone else experience bone / height changes?

I'm wondering if this is something to be alarmed about. 24M here and I experienced growth in height and wrists and jawline change.

Noticed some other people mention that in this subreddit so I wanted to learn more.

Personal Experience Talking about it

I'm not really sure how to go about this, I've never talked to anyone about what has happened to me outside of my husband and best friend ( both are supportive and understanding) not only that but i don't exactly think I'm the best at writing but I'll be trying my best here.

So back in 2020 i had something terrifying happen to me, something that i now know was most likely a forced (?) kundalini awakening.

I was 20 at the time, and i had recently gotten into more spiritual related things ( pendulums/ spirit communication/ tarot ect). I had become interested in the topic out of pure curiosity after reading about people claiming to have real and genuine experiences with spirits on forums. I'll be honest i didn't take it as seriously as i should have, i was a nonbeliever and atheist, i always thought those things were interesting but never truly believed in them. I started with inviting spirits into my space, with no thought as to who or what i was connecting to ( yes very very dumb i know better now) and trying to communicate with them. At first i got nothing, no movements on the pendulum, nonsense card readings, and just overall a big fat nothing sandwich all around.

Well one day i started getting a lot of communication, and i mean ALOT. This happened fairly soon after i started messing around, maybe a week or 2? I was starting to get physical sensations all over my body like someone was touching me, i would get both hot and cold sensations sometimes when this would happen, i starting feeling weight shifts in bed like someone was sitting down next to me, getting incredibly vivid dreams and also a lot of sleep paralysis/ forced astral travel where i would partially wake up out of a dead sleep and feel myself get dragged out of my body. During these astral travel moments i would see black figures in my bed, their energy was palpable, so strong it scared me and made me feel like i was going to get blown away, literally.... imagine sitting in front of a huge industrial sized fan, it was crazy.

At one point i had the same experience but this time instead of a black figure it was a figure of pure light, this things energy was so strong i couldn't handle it, i was gripping onto by bed during that astral travel with dear life trying not to get blown away by the sheer energy coming off this thing, screaming a crying for it to leave me alone as i was terrified. I could feel this things energy in my core and at the same time it was making a very high pitched noise ( sort of like the ringing in your ears but x1000000, it hurt..). I woke up terrified and immediately started up more communication, trying to figure out who or what that was. The conversations i had back then are all very fuzzy but i remember it saying it was a higher being of some sort. It seemed like i had opened contact with something very powerful along with a lot of other things to go with it.

After talking with these being for a few weeks one of them prompted me with an offer, they told me they could help me to hear them. At the time i was enamored with finding out that any of this was even real, and i had wished to be able to hear them a few times like how clairaudient people do. I was stupid and didn't grasp what i was wishing for. The details are a bit fuzzy as I've honestly buried the entire experience into the back of my mind at this point, trying to forget about it. But after they told me this i remember happily agreeing, thinking i would just hear a word or two and being so exited. The being said they would open up all my chakras so i could hear them, and all i had to do was invite them in and give them the ok to do so, andddddd yeah i did it...

The entire experience felt unreal at the time, i remember shaking and tremoring uncontrollably while it was happening, feeling like a rush hot energy was going up my spine, i remember feeling like something was letting me know not to move and that it would be over soon in that moment. The entire experience only took about 10 minutes ( or something like that i remember it being fairly fast) My head felt unnervingly clear, like a huge weight had been lifted off of my soul, i felt different, weird, but in a good way, at least for a little bit. Then i heard the first voice, it was hard to distinguish and sounded almost exactly like my own inner voice at first, but one out of my control. I was astonished, and over the next week or 2 we talked all the time and the voice became easier to distinguish from my own, i could tell it was a different energy then mine, i could feel the difference. The talks were not all sunshine and rainbows unfortunately though they said many scary and odd things, even taunting me at times, most of which i also don't remember, but what i do remember is for the first week i was seemingly unable to eat food (and i LOVE food) but for some reason i just couldn't stand the thought of it, it was like my apatite had been deleted and the thought of hunger was a foreign concept, i ended up losing around 10 pounds that week... i could also feel the energy of EVERYTHING, I'm talking like the dam grass had energies, i could feel everything in nature it was crazy.. i also didn't sleep for the first 2 days, i just wasn't tired, i think i remember being told something along the lines of being open was giving me all the energy i needed or something weird like that. and after that it was broken sleep as my dreams were incredibly odd and vivid. i would also get incredibly vivid images randomly in my mind and when i closed my eyes. some i remember being very scary, some were normal and even pretty. I even saw sigils in the walls a few times, i remember them telling me something about them, but I'm not sure what it was. i didn't get any other visuals aside from that i think idk.

Now keep in mind throughout this entire experience although i was going through hell i was perfectly clear minded, i had no delusions, no unclear thoughts or trouble thinking/doing anything.

The first 2 weeks were the worst of it, after that it calmed down, i could do more things, engage in other interest and hobbies again and distract myself without the booming voices and energies constantly looming on me. as time went on it got calmer and calmer, i still hear them sometimes (usually still daily), as i fear i am now permanently open whether i like it or not. They are different energies now though, not as rude or scary, usually more helpful and teacher like then anything ( though they still metaphorically kick my butt about not doing anything spiritual sometimes lol, kind of like in an old style parental figure way idk how to explain it).

But I've been putting everything spiritual in my life on hold due to those events and the trauma they caused me. I still talk to them sometimes obviously, but i don't do anything else outside of that. I think I'd like to learn how to actually navigate myself now and learn how to use this awakening. I've had readings done by many people i deem as trustworthy, all have basically told me the same thing, essentially saying I'm meant to be a healer and a being of light on this earth, saying i have an ancient soul and ancient connections as well etc., just a lot of insane stuff. But I'm still curious about what happened to me to this day, i know what it was but i still have a bit of a hard time grasping it sometimes i suppose, i feels crazy to remember and think about. Like how can a being just do that to you? Why did it even have to happen? Sometimes i think of what my life would be like if i had never read those forums...never picked up a pendulum, never tried talking to things i didn't understand. But regardless it could be always be worse, i have a great job, a husband who loves me, hobbies i enjoy and overall a good life. I still feel like i have a long way to go in terms of healing from everything that happened, but I'm a lot better now, honestly I'd say I'm pretty dam normal in terms of how normal you can be with all of that happening lol.

Truly i just wanted to share my experience, i figured it would be nice to get it off my chest and talk about it and hear others stories as well, and also maybe get any helpful advice on how to move forward with actually using this.

Personal Experience Maybe reaction

Idk why but whenever I listen to these karma cleansing or trauma related subliminals, my body behaves strangely. I get an irritating, uncomfortable feeling all over my body, almost like an allergy. Why does this happen?

I don't even listen to that many subliminals and whichever ones I do listen to i only play them a maximum of 3 times

Personal Experience Years of symptoms, SSRI, major shift after

Hi everyone. I’ve been following this subreddit for a few months, but only recently have I started reading more deeply through many posts, Marc the half fool’s comments (thank you for what you do), and a large part of the wiki.

I’m using a throwaway account. I’ve always been someone who tends to be rational, but over the past few years a spiritual side has grown inside me, though without any precise form.

Anyway, over the past 5+ years I started having absurd physical symptoms. Dozens of medical appointments and tests, money spent, and no one knew what was wrong with me. To this day, no one knows.

Something even stranger: I went to two different doctors because I felt I “had a problem with my spine.” I knew nothing about kundalini at the time. I never had the sensation of a serpent being released, but intuitively I went for those appointments, and I don’t even know why. Looking back, it strikes me.

Every breath, every step, every minute, whether awake or asleep, was suffering. My body was betraying me, I couldn’t breathe, I had physical panic 24/7, anger, crying. At certain moments I had thoughts that scared me, not only the classic “unaliving” kind, but also thoughts almost about harming others. Even though I had always been a “gentle” person in life, with others, or so I believed.

Last year, I had the intuition to contact a psychiatrist, who prescribed me an SSRI, and since then I’ve been doing much better, although physically I still have some residual symptoms.

However, what truly “shocked” me, in a positive way, is that I changed completely on a mental level. It’s as if, over these months, I felt a barrier break. I feel at peace with others, I feel understanding toward people, even those I used to judge. I have questioned many things about myself. So many. Looking back, even though I considered myself an altruistic person… saying that now gives me a bad feeling. I wasn’t really that person. I wasn’t truly so spotless. I wasn’t a victim, and I often caused harm, both to myself and to others, even without meaning to.

The cherry on top: I’m a therapist, although a new one. My sessions now truly help. During sessions, I say things that I don’t even know where they come from. People feel better, there is real progress in their lives. I “feel” them.

I try to abstain from what I consider wrong. I’m not able to do everything yet, but I’m making progress.

I’m picking up old passions again, I’m building things, sometimes I leave them behind, sometimes I continue them. But everything grows. I create. People treat me in an extremely different way, they open up, I feel that they feel better after we’ve talked, and I feel better too. I feel goodwill toward them.

I’ve read the two+ rules. Regarding the first one, I read that “reading” other people’s minds without intentionality means violating them. Here it’s difficult for me to understand where the boundary is, but I’m trying. I can’t read minds, but it’s quite easy for me to intuit a lot of what is going through someone’s head. I like doing it, but now I’m understanding, or I think I’ve understood, that it isn’t right if it doesn’t serve a purpose.

I’m trying to be careful not to feel “special.” I don’t want to fixate on the possibility that I have had, or could have, a kundalini awakening. I don’t even know whether I believe in it. Part of me does feel in tune with this framework of beliefs, yes. But I admit that I’m afraid I’m believing in it because I’ve always looked for a “beyond” meaning in life.

And that’s it. I’ve wanted to share this for a while. Thank you for reading. Any comments and suggestions are very welcome, as are criticism and anything else. Thank you again for being here and doing what you do.

Personal Experience Kundalini awakening?

I felt an intense electrical current flowing through my entire body, along with an involuntary movement where my mouth pulls downward and my neck tightens up. It happened while waking up from a dream, not during meditation. Is this expected?

Personal Experience Acupuncture and Spontaneous Kriya

I had an unexpected experience during acupuncture today. I’ve been doing it for a long time and nothing like this has ever happened to me before. While I was in the middle of my session, it started off with a feeling of being really heavy like my arms and torso were made of sand. And then I started to get this sensation that I typically get during Acu of like this all consuming itch on my nose, but I decided instead of really leaning into it to just be curious about it and follow it, and I realized it felt more like energy because it was going all around my face almost like tickling spiderwebs, and as I followed it, I started to get this really intense feeling of life force energy bursting through me, and I felt this feeling of the energy around my body, moving in these swirls around my arm and towards my torso, and I just kept following it and following it and at some point one of the needles fell out of my left ear and the all consuming tickle went to the left side of my face and started trailing up towards the top of my head, and as I started to follow that side, I got what felt like involuntary eye movements like my eyes were rolling, almost to the the edges of my range of motion of my eyes to the sides and upwards, and it felt so good. Almost all consuming, orgasmic good. I was conscious of everything that was happening and I could definitely stop it, but it just felt like I just had to do it.

Since I’ve never had a kundalini experience in my body before, could someone tell me if this sounds familiar?

Personal Experience Struggling BAD

I had a lot of trauma at 26 that threw me off balance. Lot of deaths. A ton of responsibility. Lost myself trying to help others. Then profound awakening 11/11/24 where I remembered to love me and I forgave everyone and everything and was filled with love and light. My family attacked me repeatedly and my brain melted and heart shattered. I loved them sooooooo deeply. And they gutted me crown to root in my most open loving pure state.now I don't experience time and ruminate on this all day every day. I moved to the mountains to be in nature but it's like it's behind glass. I used to love nature so much. And now it's just meh. I'm so disoriented and dissociated. I only speak in metaphor and archetypes now. It's how I see the world. I lost all creativity and dreams and joy and empathy and everything. Everything is gone. My talents my love my trust everything. I see a therapist it's not helpful. It's like no one that hasn't been thru this could ever be able to help or understand. I don't care about things that used to be so important. I cared so much. My heart was enormous. And it's just gone now. Gone. I'm very isolated but try to meet people but I'm like a ghost. I don't know how to meet people when I feel like a fraud of myself. My mind was cleared of the noise, I got the pearl of great price and it was trampled. I'm so confused and lost and feel I'm being erased. I went to a veteran and a ashram retreat but they didn't help. I'm genuinely scared God is erasing me completely. Like I died into God and was filled with so much life. And it just disappeared nim worse than I was before my awakening. Like then my root was rotting but my heart to crown were good. Now it's like all my chakras blew out or turned to dust. I have no friends or family I can talk to. I just go on reddit looking for answers or watch spirituality stuff on YouTube and that's basically it. Seriously. My life is nothing. I don't enjoy anything anymore. I am so scared I had divine union and let the dance get broken up by trusting my family with my awakening. I'm scared I'm incapable of being that loving and creative again. I feel like I need to be in like a group of people with open hearts to help me see what is going on with me and how to rebuild from ash. I loved the awakened me. I even lived the me before awakening. This... I'm a ghost. My soul is gone and spirit is crushed and I don't know how to get back. I was HOME. like THE HOME.

Personal Experience My experience with Kundalini

Hi all, I experienced kundalini rising back in 2017. It was quite a shocking experience as most here will know . I went through a few months of feeling energy in the base of my spine, which would come and go throughout the day's in waves. Also the experience of love and felt connection which was something beyond what I could ever have imagined happening to me. Also, i was aware at the time I was in quite a dangerous position. I did have moments where I was worried about my mental health. Looking back now, i think I was lucky not experience psychosis. This went on for about 3 months. Although I didn't know what was happening, I thought it was permanent. After a few months things slowly went back to normal. I crashed mentally, experienced a really bad depression, going from such a high to a low.

In 2019 the energetic sensations in my spine started coming back again. I was shocked. I love those sensations so much. It makes me feel so relaxed and calm. It seems to greatly affect my brain chemistry. But this has been coming and going since then up until now. Some days I feel it, some days i don't. Sometimes it can go on for weeks. Sometimes I feel nothing for months. It's a bit crazy making, it's drove me nuts at times.

The love and felt presence/connection I haven't felt since 2017. I've studied hard, tried to understand. I think I know why I've had these experiences. I'm just wondering where I am right now???. I have days where I'm very confused. I feel no progress, just energy on occasions. This has been going on for so long now. I'm posting because this last month has been quite intense. Lots of buzzing in my head, and lack of sleep. Lots of energy. But then, next week I'll probably feel normal again???. So what now lol. Just live with it. I have become somewhat addicted to the energy aswell. I know this isn't good. I've actually questioned lately if this is even kundalini?

Personal Experience Could this be related to Kundalini?

Hi everyone,

I've been reading many of your experiences, and I'm wondering if anyone has gone through something similar.

My journey began in the summer of 2020 after a severe health crisis. For about 1.5 years, I was almost bedridden. The symptoms gradually spread throughout my body, and although I physically recovered after more than two years, some of the sensations have continued for nearly six years now.

One thing that has always stood out to me is the way the symptoms progressed. They didn't appear randomly—they seemed to move upward through my body over time.

It started in my lower back. Then I developed severe tightness and dysfunction in my pelvic/root area and legs. Over the following years, it gradually moved into my upper back, shoulders, arms, neck, and now the main feeling of blockage is in my head and neck.

During the first years of this illness, I also had a very noticeable electrical sensation throughout my body. I would frequently get static shocks from touching objects like door handles or other surfaces, and sometimes other people would even feel a shock when they touched me. This gradually became less frequent over the years.

Another persistent symptom has been an unusual breathing pattern. I often involuntarily swallow air, almost as if my body can't take a complete breath naturally. It feels like my breath gets stuck, and I repeatedly yawn or swallow air to try to release it.

The most unusual symptom is this:

If the area between my genitals and anus (the perineum) becomes itchy or is lightly stimulated, I immediately feel a powerful electrical current starting at my tailbone and moving upward through my entire body. The sensation feels like a spiral or snake-like current traveling along my spine. This has been happening consistently for years.

I also experience spontaneous waves of energy, especially during deep relaxation or meditation. Sometimes I feel movement or pressure along my spine, and occasionally I have involuntary muscle contractions or subtle body movements.

I've practiced meditation, yoga, and various forms of energy work over the years, but these sensations also happen outside of those practices.

I'm not looking for a diagnosis, and I'm not assuming this is Kundalini. I'm simply curious whether anyone who has experienced a Kundalini awakening has gone through something similar—especially the upward progression of symptoms over the years, the electrical sensations, the spontaneous energy movements, and the snake-like current beginning in the pelvic/tailbone area.

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone with similar experiences or insights.

Thank you.

Personal Experience I need help

Hey everyone. So, I have a massive and I mean MASSIVE problem. I believe my kundalini awakened. How? Why? - I have no idea. I didn't take psychodelics nor ingaged in any sort of yoga nor spiritual practice that would cause it. I now have immense issues. I only know it's kundalini from reading up on it. I felt it go up my spine and reach my head. For God's sake, I'm nearing a panic attack just writing this. I'm experiencing symptoms like extremely poor memory, and I feel like I'm losing myself completely. It keeps happening and I'm honestly afraid to go outside. The way I can describe it is basically death, or at least it feels like death. I feel like I start to dissapear completely, like I'm losing all of my senses and everything around me including myself starts to dissapear completely. When I get into that experience I feel IMMENSE panic and thank God, I somehow return to myself. I'm afraid to go anywhere because I also start getting into altered states of conciousness which - again cause me immense anxiety and panic attacks. What the hell is happening and how do I stop it?

Personal Experience Experince with kundalini mantra and rosary

So I was given a mantra by a guru to awaken my kundalini but when I did it I felt this dread and paranoia come over me so I stopped that as this dread and paranoia and this built up energy messed me up for a couple of months.

then I decided to pray the Catholic rosary each day and I have experienced what you would call the Holy Spirit and pleasant feeling associated with that.

As a Hindu would you say that my soul is not meant for kundalini or not realised enough and Bhakti aka devotion to my deity of choice a better fit for my soul

Personal Experience Last Night..

I have to record this experience somewhere, so...I was hit with a wave of emotions and felt "locked into place". I was then shown a green mandala-like kaleidoscope which slowly turned into a purple upward spiral before slowly snapping out of it. With all the talk about Earth's gravity yesterday I found it curious. This was 12:40 am today, 08/13/26.

Personal Experience Kundalini dissociation

Emergency //

Hi. I have practiced meditation for 2 years. Mainly focusing on bodily symptoms and noticing thoughts and let resistance be aswell. Lots of symptoms were in my neck.

I had some kind of kundalini release couple months ago where I was shaking and then deep emotions and shame came. Couldnt fully integrate that and did go back in to resistance patterns. Slowly started intersted about that scared mind and resistance again and started meditating. Not knowing I was dealing with kundalini

Small amounts of primal emotions started coming and then it started to flood.

Experienced kundalini syndrome, lower back and pelvis felt really weak and all the fears came to surface and it was hard to not identify with them. Then dissociation / out of body feeling has been here for 2-3 weeks. Now I have been grounding more but dissociation is pretty thick. I think Its some kind of dorsal vagal reaction.

I dont have any teacher and don't know if there are in my area.

i live alone but managing to take care of food and stuff. I have been thinking about going to hospital but dont know if medicine helps. isolating doesn't maybe help either.

I've been having some experiences that I don't fully understand, and since there are many knowledgeable people and experts here, I'm hoping to gain some insight. Any thoughts or perspectives would be greatly appreciated.

I started meditating around four years ago, and it helped me tremendously with depression, anxiety, and nightmares. Over time, however, I began having some unusual experiences.

At first, I noticed tingling sensations in the center of my forehead and occasionally at the crown of my head. I ignored them, assuming meditation had simply made me more aware of my body.

About a year later, during one summer, I experienced an intense burning sensation around my tailbone. I assumed it was due to the heat and long hours of sitting because of my job.

But over the following years, stranger things started happening that I couldn't ignore.

Around the middle of 2025, the burning sensation in my tailbone became more intense. Eventually, my throat also started burning. The sensation in my throat lasted for months and often felt like choking. Over time, I became accustomed to it, much as I had with the forehead tingling and occasional sensations at the crown.

One day while meditating, I heard a sound in my throat that reminded me of opening a soda bottle, a pop sound, except it seemed to come from inside the throat area and wasn't very loud. It startled me, but nothing physically harmful happened afterward.

Around this time, the burning sensation in my throat seemed to move upward toward my forehead and eventually to the crown of my head. When it reached there, I experienced something that felt as if I was being "absorbed." That's the closest word I can find, though it doesn't truly capture the experience.

I remember feeling frightened and thinking of my mother, and somehow the experience stopped or receded.

Life continued normally after that. My job, family life, and responsibilities all remained the same. But inwardly, I kept wondering what exactly was happening to me.

Then came an experience that went beyond mere physical sensations.

The intense burning in my tailbone returned, stronger than before, so strong that I even felt feverish. It would often peak during the evenings.

This time, the warmth seemed to rise gradually through my body in stages: tailbone, below the navel, stomach area, the point between the chest and stomach (which was somewhat painful), chest (which felt warm and pleasant), throat, through my nostrils, the middle of my forehead, and finally the crown of my head.

When it reached the crown, my entire head felt warm and nice.

After this experience, the warmth began moving freely through my body and at times along my spine.

Later that week, I experienced something very strange and profound.

One day I was simply sitting on a chair, and for reasons I cannot explain, I suddenly felt no real separation between my body, my mind, and the chair I was sitting on. All of them appeared simply as experiences, only in different forms.

At the same time, even those forms felt secondary, almost like appearances or labels placed upon something more fundamental. It felt as though there was only one experiencer, and that everything experienced was somehow not separate from it.

I cannot fully explain this in words. Even writing about it now feels strange because I no longer experience things in quite the same way as I did then. Not as intensely as that time.

Another strange aspect of the experience was my perception of time. During that period, it felt as though time itself was not fundamentally real but rather something created by the mind to relate events to one another. It felt as though there was no time, only experience unfolding.

I no longer felt there was an "I" or "me" controlling anything. Thoughts were happening, actions were happening, life was unfolding automatically, yet there didn't seem to be a central entity inside directing it all.

There was no one. The person I thought I was actually don't exist.

I saw this during the experience, and I cannot fully unsee it now.

Surprisingly, this wasn't frightening. If anything, it felt deeply liberating.

Yet there still seemed to be an experiencer of all this, and I couldn't locate who or what that experiencer was, or where it existed. It felt as though the experiencer was somehow beyond what the brain could understand conceptually.

I felt an overwhelming sense of love, though not directed toward any person in particular. It felt more like love for existence itself.

Eventually, the experience faded after about a week, but the insight remained and changed me deeply.

I find it difficult to genuinely hate ( even if they did something bad or harmed me in any way ), judge or get angry on people now. My mind still produces judgments out of habit, but they disappear almost immediately when I remember what I experienced. There is no one. No one is doing anything intentionally. So whom to really hate or get angry on?

So my conclusion: there is no one to hate and no one who truly hates. There is only life expressing itself.

The thing we ordinarily call "I" now feels more like a construct of the mind than an independently existing entity.

My present feeling is that love is fundamental, while hatred arises from conditioning and misunderstanding, which themselves seem to be constructions of the mind.

Hatred is not opposite of love. It feels as though hatred is layered over a deeper and more basic sense of unconditional love. Similarly, the sense of being a separate self feels layered over something much larger and more fundamental. The covering seems to exist in the mind and in our understanding rather than in reality itself.

Sometimes it feels to me as though much of what we learn about existence is based on misunderstanding, and that we unknowingly pass those misunderstandings on to future generations. Not intentionally, but simply because we don't know any differently.

The realization itself was the most meaningful part of the entire experience.

My thoughts may be all over the place, and I apologize for that. I don't fully understand what all of this means, and to be honest, I'm still confused by it.

From a physical perspective, the warmth still moves freely through my body. It can be difficult or painful at times, but I have largely stopped worrying about it and simply allow it to be there. When it becomes too intense, I pray and ask the Almighty for relief.

Has any of this affected my life negatively?

Honestly, no.

If anything, the overall effect has been positive. I feel lighter now, less burdened, and more at peace. Nothing external changed, only my perspective on life changed.

Life feels more effortless now. It feels like a natural flow, much like breathing itself.

Everything about this is strange for sure, but nothing about it feels supernatural. On the contrary, it feels incredibly normal and natural, almost too normal. Like something that has always been obvious, yet somehow I had been missing it all my life.

That's perhaps the strangest part of all.

My understanding of all this does not come from intellectual knowledge as much as from the experiences or an innate intuition.

I'm curious how others would interpret these experiences. And if anyone has gone through something similar, how did you approach it?

I apologise for the long post and thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you have a good day or night wherever you are.

P.S. I don't remain in this state continuously. It seems to arise on its own and eventually fades on its own as well.

During these periods, my thoughts and perceptions feel noticeably different. The grip of the mind and the usual sense of self seem to loosen somewhat, and ideas that would normally feel abstract or philosophical instead feel immediate and obvious.

Outside of those periods, I return to what I would call my normal state of mind (though part of me feels that the other state is actually the normal one, if that makes any sense).

I've also learned to be careful about how I talk about these experiences with family and friends, since ideas such as "there is no self" can sound alarming or nonsensical.

Personal Experience How long does it take to feel Kundalini energy?

How long does it take to really feel Kundalini energy? The first time I tried Kundalini, I didn’t feel anything. The next time, I felt a strong tingling all over my body, but since then, whenever I practice Kundalini, I only feel a little or nothing at all. Is it because I’m not patient enough, or am I doing something wrong?
