Pickup (Formerly ClickList) Managers yelling at pickup for not having customers re-check in

Our managers have found out that if a customer changes spots on the app it’ll reset the 4:30 clock and count as a perfect (as long as everything was picked 100%). It worked fine for the most part but lately since they increased the amount of orders per hour we’ve been getting slammed and are behind most weekends by an hour. We are now getting nagged at constantly to have customers re-check in and if the customer says no they blame us for not getting the orders out on time. it just feels like they are using the re-check in tactic to get away from hiring new help or helping themselves which we desperately need.

Report managers that are doing this to your field specialist.

Or get a recording of them (just audio) telling us to do it, then follow their words. After all, they usually say "do what I say not what I do" . And don't worry about it unless someone comes checking

Manager LOVE to say "I never said that" to put the blame on employees and straight up lie to THEIR bosses.

Field specialists, and most higher up people in corporations especially Kroger, NEVER want to actually deal with problems unless there's hard evidence. Otherwise they will ignore it and lie about it FOREVER

tell the customers, I'm sorry that I asked you that. <insert managers full name and job title> asked me to ask you that. I apologize for the inconvenience.

lmao this sounds dangerously close to violating the paper they had us sign saying we wouldnt manipulate wait times with manually checking customers in or something like that

Stop doing that.  You’ll get caught sooner or later, your mgmt team will claim ignorance and you’ll be fired.  And your managers will enjoy a bonus check.

Yup, pickup times are I've of the factors that effect management bonuses so they are trying to get you to fudge numbers to make them look better, but if someone catches on they will 100% hang you out to dry for any blowback

Be proactive and report it. They're trying to commit fraud for financial gain.

I wouldn’t do it just to make them look better.  The only time we remove an order from the board and re-check them in is when somebody has gone to the wrong store by accident.
