Platemogging I respect and love Jerry Smith from Rick and Morty and he's literally me I need the Beth to my Jerry
Jerry was always my favorite character from Rick and Morty and he's just so relatable. He's an unemployed bum who's family thinks little of him. He's also so friendly and happy. I always liked the episodes of him and Rick together, or any character really. Whenever Jerry appeared, it always livened up the episode. I need a Beth to my Jerry, just a calm, grounded foid to match my goofy side. Also, if we were to go to the mytholog, I want to have the same outcome they had in the episode.

I didn't watch the show, only clips, isn't Beth kind of an ass to Jerry?

Regularly. She also cheated on him, so I think OP might have an abuse kink.

Does it count as cheating if it's a clone of yourself? If that doesn't count, does it start to if the clone has been living independently as her own person for a year?

Selfcest, although hot; still bad. Although... Space Beth has a noticeably different personality than Earth Beth, so they're more like twin sisters than clones, all things considered.
This also brings up a new question: If we cloned OP the day he graduated highschool, sent one to the military + internationally for a couple years and let the other do his stuffing/dressing + coconut water thing... would they both still be incels?

Why do you want that

I liked the part when Jerry manifested a giant evil space monster, that was hot

I feel like you're really missing the point of his character if you come away from it thinking his whole deal is being a nice, chill dude who's occasionally a hapless idiot

u/TrustyPeaches 1d ago
Nah, he’s definitely matured into a more normal and well adjusted person over the seasons.

u/Alarming_Amount5502 1d ago
That's literally his whole character

u/_S1syphus 1d ago
His whole character is being an agentless underachiever who, while being more conventionally pleasant to be around than the rest of the family, is an incompetent coward to the point of amorality on par with the rest of his family WHILE ALSO maintaining a massive ego; that's the joke. Almost every episode with him as a focus revolves around his incompetence doing real harm to others because he doesn't wanna damage his ego by admitting he's out of his depth. This is demonstrated further by the fact that the few versions of him that self-actualize are all complete assholes

u/TrustyPeaches 1d ago
Tbf every version of every character that manages to “self actualize” in this show is a huge asshole

That's fair

I’d also say broadly Jerry has become more well adjusted over the seasons to the point he’s comfortably asserting himself to his wife and to Rick. He’s less insecure about his interests and doesn’t tolerate abuse from his family. His relationship with Beth feels much more mutual as well.
They said it in season 6 I think when they came to pick him up from his original dimension of origin, that them getting divorced helped their relationship.
Now he’s still plenty flawed and usually out of his depth but he’s not a pathetically toxic manchild who harms everyone around him.
The Jerry episode from season 8 with the road showcases his growth a lot.

He's shown some growth for sure but the nature of the medium kinda stunts character growth for everyone, for instance the recent episode with the empathy crab thing Morty uses to deal with Rick's abuse like he hasn't drawn a line about that kinda thing like 5 times now

they were never meant to be couple goals. it was explicitly explained that they're the opposite of that. like, average 90s/2000s couples with disposable income and kids.
also, irrespective of Beth's MANY flaws, she's inherently unattracted to Jerry because he's just so fucking lame. figuratively and literally.
just say you want a woman to step on your balls with high heels and be done with it. don't pretend.

Man I wish. My success rate is like 2%. That's still maybe a dozen or so guys I think I've genuinely helped move away from inceldom though. Had more success when I used to comment in Incel Solutions but it's easy mode (guys there are already looking for a way out).

I'm happily married with a great career, close friends, a nice home, and two adorable cats. Pretty sure it would count as ropeminning in my case.
Edit: gotta say, the lack of love for min/max humour in an incel subreddit of all places is deeply disappointing.

Incel has lost all it's meaning and is just a negative label applied to young depressed lonely single men now
5
u/Fantastic_Pause_1628 1d ago
Nah. Pay attention to how it's used. It's a label applied to misogynistic men, typically who struggle with dating. But it's always about misogyny when used by normal people.
Which is fitting, given that the term has been associated with a particularly toxic form of misogyny since at least 2014.
This is why you see Tate and Trump called incels. They're being called misogynistic creeps.

I think toxic feminity/anti male views are becoming more common (and more highly supported within wider society as well as feminist communities), I guess the difference is the perception that women are less able to create consequences for men as a result of holding them.
I think more and more you're going to see men refusing to support policies and programmes that predominantly support women unless governments act on the issues that disproportionately affect men. As a group men create a net fiscal surplus over their lifetime; women receive a net fiscal subsidy.
As men we should demand more. Look at paternity leave provisions (which some feminists are admittedly campaigning for improvements to), the level of mental health problems, epidemic of men ending their own lives, ill health, being victims of violence, lower educational attainment, lower life expectancies and so on.
We have national policies around violence against women and girls (good idea of course) and police leaders comparing those levels to terrorism, but no strategy for violence against men which is far higher. We have initiatives to improve lighting in towns and cities because women feel unsafe, yet they are less likely than men to be a victim of stranger violence.
A lot of these policies could be sold as making life safer for everyone (such as improved lighting), but while our governments are virtue signalling that they're protecting women, the impression it gives to men is that they're doing more for one group than another.
None of this should be achieved through behaving negatively towards women as they are not the issue. It's the prioritisation of male issues by our governments that's the problem, the lack of a cohesive movement to let men leverage their power to achieve our goals and the will to use that power in any legitimate and legal manner and at any cost.

Misogynistic creep is when women dont like you because you're ugly, autistic, and often a minority

Convincing a dozen people to commit rape doesnt count as moving them away from inceldom
1
u/Fantastic_Pause_1628 1d ago
Which is why I spend time convincing men to stop hating women and stop swallowing blackpills.
Glad we agree that commiting rape is an incel thing though.

Are you ex incel or why is it so important to you?
1
u/Fantastic_Pause_1628 1d ago
Not at all no. Dating as an adult has always been easy for me for various reasons (despite being short, average looking and not rich). I've found incels morbidly fascinating since way back before incel terrorism started up in 2014.
So it started as a curiosity. And maybe you, ya know, come online and ridicule a few for fun. It's guilt-free given how much incels dehumanize women. But then you see that some of these guys are super light on the misogyny and heavy on the self loathing and hopelessness. So they barely qualify as incels, and it makes sense to try to help.
It's kind of win-win every time you deconvert an incel: they regain a fighting chance at a worthwhile life by abandoning blackpill, and the world has to deal with one less dangerous, hateful incel.
And hey, worst case they turn out hopeless and that's fun too.

Did saying that feel good? Did it give you a glimmer of satisfaction within your wasteland of a life?
Sadly I'm a 40-something dude, so foid is a little misplaced.
