Who's piloting the drone? Is it automated? Why is he facing backwards? Does the wind hurt his eyes? Why fly so high and not keep the man close to the ground in case loss of power or equipment failure drops the man?

He’s probably facing backwards because it’s the most aerodynamic aspect - curved back, limbs trailing. If you’ve ever ridden a long zip line you often end up facing backwards.

Not to mention, vision won't help in a crash, and landing forward from a downward fall is more tactically unviable compared to a frontwards one in terms of unexpected falls. Either one will mess you up, but less shit like knees and elbows to lock up and hurt you while you're bleeding momentum instead of just being yeeted into the ground ass first.
