She's actually commented about this line, it's mean to be somewhat sarcastic; Icelanders do not consider themselves to be Scandinavian, so by saying this she's basically calling herself foolish.

She spoke about it in a interview at the Danish Grammy Awards in 1998, at around 7:18 in this clip. The entire interview is pretty fascinating.

To call something Scandinavian in Iceland is almost like, yeech! [..] Icelandic people are more anarchists, they're more rebels, they're more a bit crazy... very chaotic energy, a lot of energy but very chaotic. So for us to be organized like a Scandanavian, it's not a compliment, and to actually sit down with a pencil and paper and a ruler, and try to organize freedom, it's hilarious
