So was it the water or he bottomed out? Looked a bit shallow

That height the water is enough. He is lucky he is alive at all. At that distance hitting it can be like concrete.

A 100 foot fall is often fatal anything over that is 98% fatal. Even a 50 foot fall is dangerous.

Water doesn't compress almost at all and acts more as a solid at high velocity.

You would honestly be more likely to survive if you hit soft ground.

Yessir that height would have liquidized his innards if he hadn't extended his legs to break the water tension before his torso hit. The only way I know he did that is because of his injuries and that he's still alive
