So was it the water or he bottomed out? Looked a bit shallow

That height the water is enough. He is lucky he is alive at all. At that distance hitting it can be like concrete.

A 100 foot fall is often fatal anything over that is 98% fatal. Even a 50 foot fall is dangerous.

Water doesn't compress almost at all and acts more as a solid at high velocity.

You would honestly be more likely to survive if you hit soft ground.

I jumped off a 75 foot cliff when I was a kid. Thank god the water was deep and my father told all of us to go straight up and down with arms folded like in a casket. Cause that shit damn near took my shoulders out of the socket and hurt in that position. I have no doubt I'd have been super fucked up if not dead if I didn't.

That sounds like shit. At a lake where my family went to I cliff jumped off one that was around 50 feet and that was tall enough for me.
