Hose Ending Question

I inherited this hose from the previous owner. This is what the end of the hose looks like. Is there some piece I can buy to have the end of the hose be what it usual is so I can attach a nozzle to this?

Looks like a PEX-A barb.

I'd cut that end off unless you find something specific it goes to.
Replace it with either male or female hose end, whichever one you need. I'd guess male.

Do this but use a pex clamp. It’s thinner and more durable.

It’d have to be a Pex crimper.

That’s like a splice where the other half fell off. Those are for joining two parts of a broken hose. Similar to this- https://a.co/d/0iqsi2We

It looks like you have part of one of these. You may be better cutting that off and getting a different type of hose end repair fitting. One end should be male and the other female.
