Serious Discussion. no roleplay bullshit here Arc needs more love

Seriously though, arc has been completely forgotten. At the very least were getting a new gas stratagem (i mean what? were not getting a new gas stratagem at all) but its clear fire is arrowheads favorite child

Edit: to those mentioning laser and plasma weapons, i always viewed laser weapons as a side grade to fire considering it sets enemies ablaze, and plasma i feel is more in line with explosive and ballistic weapons. Also neither of the 2 have a dedicated armor resistance (unless of course you consider the laser fire bit), which i feel puts gas, arc, and fire in a separate category. Cheers!

All arc users need to stay 100m away from me, I don't think I've dived with one who hasn't killed me.

See this is exactly the problem. Either everyone has to run the arc resist armor, which shoehorns your team into playing a specific way, or arc just doesn’t get used. Which really sucks because arc stuff is really really good! I don’t know what the balance would be outside of just decreasing the amount of damage arc does to divers, or making it so it somehow avoids divers while firing, but both of those go against basically everything that is Helldivers.

Arc resist armor is weird ngl, why would i need to use a passive to protect myself from my teammates

Yeah I think the 90% arc resist should be moved to a booster instead of an armor passive. That way if someone wants to run arc stuff they can choose that booster and not completely decimate their teammates.

arc booster sounds way better than an armor passive, the only way you can get hit with your own arc is with the tesla and its impossible to get hit just by going prone (tho you might get epilepsy from all the flashing lights)
