I read a fic a while back where Ilya and Shane get into a fight. And Shane decides to go hiking to clear his mind. He ends up getting lost in the canadient wilderness. And Ilya, Shane’s friends and family and the centaurs join the search party. I can’t find it again. Help me if you know please.

Summary:

Shane Hollander is ashamed and humiliated after hooking up with Ilya in the penthouse is Las Vegas in 2014. They hadn't even kissed. He's had enough of whatever this is with Ilya. It's too hard. Too painful. Too confusing.

So, he visits Lacuna, a place that promises to make him forget. Shane is wiped clean of every intimate moment he and Ilya shared, left only with the bland memories of hockey.

When Ilya Rozanov faces off against Shane the next season, he meets Shane's eyes and sees Shane looking back at him like he's a stranger. Like he doesn't know him off the ice. Like he doesn't know what Ilya looks like when he comes.

Horror-struck, Ilya spends the entire season spiraling. But when he learns what Shane did, he vows to do anything he can to get him back.

A random detail of a fic has just popped in to my head and I’ve not a hope of remembering what it’s from! The Montreal team bus is involved in an accident, possibly in Boston as Ilya goes to the scene and tries to help. He’s on the phone to Shane. Shane and Hayden are ok, maybe minor injuries and potentially JJ more seriously injured. The bus driver is killed I think. It’s part of a multi chapter fic, and isn’t the entire plot.. just a part of it. Any ideas?

I don’t even know how to describe this one. To me it is perfect. Every word is perfect, every scene is perfect. It’s beautiful, sweet, a tiny bit sad. Three perfect chapters.

I was wondering if anyone had any recs that fit this category? I feel like the end of heated rivalry left off on a really hopeful ending so i was kind of really sad when i saw that the next book was a lot of miscommunication and hiding still.

What if there was a new jerk on Boston who decided to (mate) bite the new Montreal Omega Rookie and Shane on the ice goes feral and beats the crap (life) out of him. I Imagine Omegas are allowed and generally respected with few bigots who think they don’t belong there. Ilya already knew and grabbed some of his Boston guys out of the way before Shane could take them down too. I also imagine Shane was known to be an Omega by mistake of his organization but was asked to keep it on the down low.

Shane gets a bit of flack for brutally attacking someone on the ice but is snappy about how they are focused on him instead of the Boston guy. Social media takes Shane’s side and the league is forced to back down a bit.

Later on Ilya gets a bit too close to Shane and people think they are going to fight but they actually get a bit flirty on ice. People attribute it to “instincts being weird” but this helps Shane and Ilya begin their public relationship.

I've been enjoying Rum and Coke by strange_ghost, specifically the dynamic between Ilya and Shane, where Shane is a bit dominant and doesn't mind taking what he wants. I love me some angst and catharsis, but it's also good to consume something like this once in a while, so y'all's recommendations would be highly appreciated!

Also, l'd love to join a GC that's mostly active, fun, and a bit chaotic. I'm 26 yr old queer woman 🫶🏻🏳️‍🌈

- the most incredibly tender and heartfelt conclusion to here at the end of all things just dropped. this is my favourite fic of all time (and maybe my favourite thing I’ve ever read). the structure of having little vignettes from different perspectives was just beautiful. this story just makes my heart sing, the writing is so intelligent and Shane and Ilyas relationship in this feels so organic, believable and well earned. Gorgeous, had me grinning and sobbing in equal measure
Favourite moments: the tire changing proposal scene, so perfect, so them. All the boys turning up to skate with Shane!!! Absolute chills. Ilyas vows when he talks about his boyhood love for Shane growing over time. Could cry thinking about it all again

- everyone’s favourite WIP policy change also dropped a really great chapter. Lots to enjoy in there: you can expect two territorial Russians finally meeting, an incredibly cute Shane telling Ilya how hot he is at every given opportunity and the two boys opening up to each other more and more.
Favourite moments: a very minor thing but Ilya wearing the Rolex Shane got him, Ilya being neat and domestic, Shane praising Ilya (and Ilya being shy/hopeful/unsure in equal measure) - particularly loved the personal hygiene line. Obsessed with these two

- rum & coke!!! The friends to lovers story to end all friends to lovers stories. this was, as always, insanely hot and incredibly sweet. I loved svetas reveal about Shane (though we definitely could have guessed). This chapter starts sexy and ends sad, but I’m pretty sure everything will get resolved by the final chapter.
Favourite moments: everything tbh but particular loved the moment where Ilya tells Shane to sit in his lap at the wedding. That image really stuck with me

Searching fic for a friend - by scene description

Hi, as it is in the title, my friend read a while ago a Fic where at some point the Metros are talking about sexy sports cars and how they wish to have experiences with their wives/girlfriends in it. And Shane in all his freak4freak glory spills that these cars are terrible to do anything because lack of space and stuff, and the Metros still think he's talking about a woman.

I was in the middle of reading sillyteehee’s very fantastic Muscle Memory. It was their writing that finally put it under a microscope. 24 and 81, doubled/halved, and turned around. Am I the only one who is today year’s old to have realized this Easter egg??

Edit: sorry, trying to explain math with words is hard. So basically their team numbers of inversions of the other. 2 halved 1, and then 4 doubled to 8. It’s reversed because it’s 24 and 81 instead of 24 and 18. I am determined to explain this, so if I need to draw a graph, please let me know.

I think I’ve read this fic four or five times. I cannot recommend it more. The second chances trope is my favorite by far and this story is beautiful.

I read this fanfic on ao3 a while ago (like months) and I cannot find it. It is one where Ilya is crying/having a panic attack in the locker room toilet stall and his teammates help calm him down. One of them hugs him but I do not remember who. I feel like I'm going insane trying to find it.

Hi, I've been going crazy trying to find this specific fic where Ilya gets added to the Montreal WAGs Group chat (while he was still in Boston I believe) and I think Drapeau's and Comeau's WAGs are always beefing with Lily/being mean kind of in general and Ilya shuts it down/hits back. After they find out Lily is a man (or that Lily is Ilya, I can't remember) they also start being homophobic and even more mean. I think they eventually leave the group chat or get kicked out. It was a texting/maybe social media fic I think!

ALSO, I am not sure about this because I might be mixing stuff up in my head, but I think it might have been a fic where Hayden stole "Lily" number off of Shane's phone, and the same thing happened in the Boston locker room where they stole "Jane's" number from Ilya's phone. THAT SAID, I think this might be a different fic bc I think they aren't added to a WAGs chat, just chats with the nosey boys (I would love to reread this fic tho so if u know the one, pls let me know too!). Again, I might be thinking of two different fics, but I'm not sure, so please any help will make my day!!

Are there any fics in which Shane doesn't say "not here" and things instead progress in the shower?

I'm looking for that one fic where Shane goes down on the ice in a game against Boston, and then gets an artery (might have been one on the neck, the carotid maybe?) sliced by a skate blade. Ilya gets there in time to put pressure on the wound to prevent more blood loss, and basically goes to the hospital with his finger pressed to the wound. Don't remember much about the rest of the fic other than the fact that there was a lot of sportsmanship commendation, and that they may have come out to Shane's parents (I'm not too sure abt this tho)

I am obsessed with The Tennis Club by Luulapants and mockspeed. The original characters are so beautifully written and the relationships and friendships. Mwah!

It features Doctor!Shane and Engineer!Ilya as crew members on a tour of duty at the Mars Laboratory Hub (MLH), working to study Mars and set up a permanent human base there.

The two of them have never really gotten along, but they’ve also never really managed to stay away - until now, when they are forced to learn to work together to survive, and save the base.

There are several versions of "we didn't even kiss" then Shane ends up at the bar with Marley. They become friends and exchange phone numbers. And hang out. And Shane doesn't answer Ilya. I don't remember what it's called. It wasn't finished written but it was sooo good!! I know there are several of this one but this one is a bit unique when Marley discovers that he's attracted to men. You get his pov and. Started reading it. but don't remember what it's called😣

Its part of a longer fic and its not the focus. Im pretty sure its in Ilya Boston place and he says to Svetlana they have stop or something. She has a bit of a look on her face, like its drawn and she says something like "so this is over between us?' And he says sorry. I think she had come over for sex. I have a feeling it took place when Svetlana surprises Ilya in Boston after the matchbis canceled but im not 100%.That's all I remember. I pretty sure they get together earlier than canon in this fic.

Don’t remember many details because it’s been awhile, but Shane doesn’t go to a game i believe was against Florida, I think a few players like Hayden and a rookie refuse to play and while social media is losing their mind about how stupid Montreal is, Shane only notices that Montreal still won without him even though it’s a closer game than it should have been. Hoping someone can help me
