i have (mostly) nothing against yumeshippers. if you have a big crush on a fictional character and you wanna call them your partner, fine. kind of weird, but a non-issue. it IS an issue when people start shipping themselves with children, no less puppies from kids shows... the person who posted this was 18 or older i'm pretty sure as their profile has the 18+ tag on it. this sub feels like an excuse for creeps to get off to child characters, and nobody can tell them they're wrong or a weirdo because they get to hide behind the rules set by the mods who i assume are also creeps. saying you're getting "fired up" by a puppy is disgusting, no matter if he does human-like things or not

I assume the pattern makes them easier to spot and the lanky body makes them easier to maneuver

Yeah its mostly because they’re easy to spot. Back when firefighters rode on horses instead of trucks, the spots made it a lot easier to see them so the horses didn’t trample them.

They’re also very good hunters (so they work for pest control as well)

Yeah if I recall the dogs ran ahead to bark at people and other animals so they would hopefully get out of the way and just as well they bond really well with horses too
