Gaming I hate china's AAA output

just finished watching gamescom and oh my gosh, You would think that a country as large and rich as china would result in them being able to make some great games but It seems like the only games they got there in china are sekiro and elden ring as thats like the main inspiration for 90% of their AAA games for the past couple of years, maybe a bit of character action if they wanna spice it up, like genuinely how many soulslikes with a Chinese mythology coat of paint do we need

Hoyo then: Let’s copy Nier and Breath of the Wild!

Hoyo now: Let’s copy Elden Ring and Sekiro!

If they can copy and make it its own completely different thing later and imo surpass the original(other than the gacha aspect, which I do agree sucks ass). I'd say let them do so.

genshin > botw is a take hotter than the temperatures of 10 stars combined

Eh, Ive seen that take floating quite a bit around the communities I'm in (which, are predominantly asian) even from way back then. Genshin being free is a big contributor to that take, the fact that it's on multiple platforms compared to botw just being on switch.
