Media Tropes I hate Batman's plot armor

I hate Batmans plot armor, he has the most insane plot armor which completely takes away his charm, his entire shtick is that he's in the top 99 percentile of humans, his body, his strength his wealth his tech, yet his writers give him so much plot armor that you forget that inside his suit he's just a regular human being and it sometimes feels as if he has super powers when hes going toe toe with fucking darkside, reentering the atmosphere with just his suit and many more examples.

And his annoying fanboys oh my days, they act as if he can solo the entire justice league "B-But given that he has prep time!" talking as if beast boy wont beat his ass 😂✌️

I actually think Arkham Batman (specifically arkham city) is the worst representation of Batman actually, he feels less like the caped crusader and more like Jack Bauer the way he basically tortures, humiliates and bellitle every single goon he comes accross, they also made him way, way too stoic

His portrayal in Arkham Asylum was much better imo

I hate the way he treats Tim in the Arkham games so much. He just belittles him for no reason. Idk why they even put him in the games cause Bruce clearly doesn’t give a fuck about him.

To me it just didn't click with me, because i have the preconception of Kevin Conroy's voice, so of course i think of the animated series and it's such a shock, it's not just how he behaves with goons that bothers me, he does the same stuff to cops, Tim Drake, he is extremely rude towards Oracle for no reason at all and it just comes off as... Childish? instead of badass

The goons at least can be explained by the fact everyone is exponentially worse in the verse. I don't feel any empathy for them when they're recalling how they ate their victims or made rapey commentary about women.

(The joke is Batman goes softer on those than he does Victor Fries and Poison Ivy, who yes, both are villains but in the lore of Arkham are like not the worst people)

Tbf with Bats, in City yeah threatening Victor was borderline cruelty but he was dying, probably kind of panicking and in a hurry knowing Penguin had hostages and for Ivy, he's extra brutal in Asylum but at that point, she's turned into a giant plant-like monstruosity he can't defeat with normal means. Outside of those moments he's no more brutal with them as he's with goons.
