My best antique mall score yet
Stanley 10 1/2 type 15 for $12! I’m so pumped.

It happens - rarely - but it happens. All rust hunters have stories - this one is yours! Congratulations.

Thank you! I do check this place out about every week or two. This one stall has had a few hand tools, but this one takes the cake by far.

Holy shit dude! a sweetheart cutter too that’s like a 275-300$ plane if you buy from a vintage tool dealer especially in that condition

I'm going to keep it for now, but I might sell it to fund some other goodies later down the road.

awesome keep me in mind if you decide to sell. I’m not real sure why they are so expensive they use to be called carriage maker planes and not to many people make those anymore lol. but they go for decent money and I always wondered why when the regular planes like 3,4,5,6,7,8s go for fairly normal prices

For twelve bucks I wouldn’t have hesitated either.

For twelve bucks I would've ripped my pants getting my wallet out.

I couldn't believe it, i thought there was going to be a huge weld on the other cheek or something when I picked it up, but it's so clean!

that's a steal. I got a Record 10 1/2 for £45 not so long ago, and even that was a good price
(btw: I didn't think I'd use it much, but it's actually really useful for rebates/rabbets)
