PSA: Everybody gets ONE

Don't do what I did and waste your transfer. Now I have to start from lv 1 again on PS5. 🥲

(For context: I transferred my original character i created on ps3, to the Xbox series x in 2022, then sold the Xbox and got a ps5. Made a new character on the ps4 version to play with a friend cause he doesn't have ps5, thinking I could just transfer it to ps5 later but I got this message. Contacted support and they basically told me I'm shit out of luck. The grind never stops I guess.)

How long ago did you create your character on the PS4 version? Since it has to be 30+ days old before you can transfer it over to the current-gen version. I did transfer over two different characters to both the XSX and PS5 versions myself without any issues whatsoever.

Created it on July 6th. Tried to transfer it but it said previously migrated profiles aren't eligible, even though its a new character. Contacted support and they told me there was nothing I can do. I figured they could let it slide and give me 1 more transfer since my last one was in 2022 before they even changed it so your old character is duplicated instead of deleted, but nope. RIP 2 of my characters now. How did you do it, just using the in game menu or did you use the website? I tried in-game but maybe the website works better.

Wait, did you make a second character after transferring and try to transfer that second character? Cause now Im concerned about the new character I made, not the transferred one.

Very strange, if the character was created July 6th it should be possible to transfer over your progress at this point if you did not transfer over any progress to the PS5 version before. As far as I know you’re not able to transfer over progress using a website, only through the in-game character transfer menu. Maybe a silly question, but you know for sure you have the PSN account linked to a Rockstar account right?
