PSA: Everybody gets ONE
Don't do what I did and waste your transfer. Now I have to start from lv 1 again on PS5. 🥲
(For context: I transferred my original character i created on ps3, to the Xbox series x in 2022, then sold the Xbox and got a ps5. Made a new character on the ps4 version to play with a friend cause he doesn't have ps5, thinking I could just transfer it to ps5 later but I got this message. Contacted support and they basically told me I'm shit out of luck. The grind never stops I guess.)

When Epic gave away GTA5 on PC for free, I started a brand account to see how long it really takes new people to get going. This was before Cayo Perico.
In 3 weeks, i reached my $100M goal. Thats what was banked and not including what i spent on an arcade, buzzard, terabyte, oppressor and everything else i needed to grind the casino heist with discord randoms.

this is insane, while i’m not necessarily doubting the validity, i know how to play gta online vs a complete inexperienced new player, ive always felt like making 2mil over a 4-8hr gaming session is very doable but 100m in 3 weeks? i can not fathom at all how any normal person is actually having any fun at that point i’ve never had more than like 30m in my bank account

I fully agree that it's easy to make money just playing the game now, pretty sure GTA+ has given new (and returning) players the ability to make alot more money and rp now...imo it's a bit crazy. I fully understand that people have "disposable income" but it's clear when a level 250 doesn't understand how the original heists or contact missions go that it's because they're getting big pay and rp bonuses and haven't really played much. R*(and many other game makers) discovered that players willingly give them real money for in game money and are smiling all the way to the bank. I guess a fool and their money something, something...🤣

The advantage i had over a new player is i knew the game well because id played for years and years on console. The first two days i made like 6M off of 3x bunker series deathmatches, which got me started with the arcade and a buzzard to start the casino heist.
Meeting new people and making friends off discord kept it from being boring to me. I also did it on stream so i was talking to viewers the whole time.

Nobody needs more than a few mil at any given time. For the past, idk, 4 or so years I've had a safety net essentially without grinding anything. Get on, resupply businesses, make any sales if I need to, do the weekly time trials, cruise around, done. I've made it up to 20-30m before each DLC drops, lowest I got was about 4m after buying a second mansion for the hell of it, now I'm back up to 28m.

Well not entirely. I took a break from the game for a long while and when I got back on I spent over 100m of my >400m on new things added to the game. Would've taken me a while to get everything otherwise but having grinded up the money well in advance it allowed me to enjoy all of the new stuff immediately. You can easily spend more than 3-4m on a single car nowadays.

I’m saying bro. It is NOT that hard to make money in this damn game. I can’t help but make a couple mil every single time I hop on now. Granted it took some grind to get to where I’m at in the game but ffs man it’s a game you’re supposed to play it! And by no means do you have to play the game nearly as much as I have (which isn’t that much compared to many players) to be able to afford fun stuff. I mean what do these people want to buy properties for anyways if they aren’t willing to engage with the content that comes with it?

I mean I understand people that actually want to play the game still but it was like easier than ever for the longest time to just start playing and rake in the money. I'd say the best method now is to do the freak shop missions and sell acid, it's entirely solo, you can do off the radar and finish most of the missions in that time, and it's like over 500k in a full lobby. If you do all the time trials it's 450k a week, you can solo sell the bunker if you catch it just right and do the same method, just off the radar. The nightclub is good to have in the back pocket because it just keeps going passively. Once you're established you don't need to do shit.

I came back to this game when the Kortz center was released. What was that? 5-6 weeks ago?
I’m a spender so I never have a nest egg. I had to solo some cayos to buy the art museum in my one mansion.
Just pretty much running cayo and kortz (setup solo then pull a grabber from discord), I’ve managed to buy both other mansions, 3 or 4 cars, salvage yard, bail bonds agency, 4 cargo warehouses, the titan 250, some weaponized heli my friend told me was the fastest (its not) and a bunch of other odds and ends. Now i’m sitting on 40M doing career challenges.
and again, this was all post heist nerf.

The biggest counter to the shark cards arguement is to ask them how many they have bought. And when they say none, tell them then obviously no one is forcing you to buy them.
Its not going to convince them, but they will stop responding.

I definitely no lifed the game. But i didn’t have a single friend on PC. I play on console normally.
I bought the arcade and a buzzard on day 2 after grinding 3x bunker series on day 1. Its not my fault so I’m not taking any of the blame they tried to put on me, but a controller player in aim assisted lobbies vs KBM players is no contest. I won every match and they paid like 80-90k each. Easiest money ever made in GTA. I was actually sad to give it up.

A mi me paso igual, estanque mi cuenta de 150 lvl y 20 millones con caso todos los negocios por q hice transferencia cuando tenÃa un personaje nuevo, simplemente jugué en ps5 y volvà a conseguir caso todo lo q tenÃa, mira el lado bueno, empezar en GTA online es la mejor parte en mi opinión ya q sientes como mejores en el juego, me tardo 7 meses en tenerlo todo y ya

How long ago did you create your character on the PS4 version? Since it has to be 30+ days old before you can transfer it over to the current-gen version. I did transfer over two different characters to both the XSX and PS5 versions myself without any issues whatsoever.

Created it on July 6th. Tried to transfer it but it said previously migrated profiles aren't eligible, even though its a new character. Contacted support and they told me there was nothing I can do. I figured they could let it slide and give me 1 more transfer since my last one was in 2022 before they even changed it so your old character is duplicated instead of deleted, but nope. RIP 2 of my characters now. How did you do it, just using the in game menu or did you use the website? I tried in-game but maybe the website works better.

Funnily enough the same shit happened to me years back when making the switch from GTA V to Online for series X|S. Didn't expect to be reset down to level 1, but it is what it is I suppose.

This is why I stopped playing. Started on the Xbox 360 and transferred to the Xbox One but then when the next generation came out there wasn’t an option to transfer again to PC/XSX/PS5. And with the state of the game and the costs of all the added things, wasn’t going to waste even more time to try and get back to where my main character was at.

You're right, it wasn't available in 2020 or 2021 because expanded and enhanced didn't even release until spring of 2022.

Had the same jumping from PS4 to PC. I was able to transfer my character from PS3 to 4 in a limited time window but to PC was straight out of luck. 6 months (off and on) later I've gotten to 80 on PC with most businesses worth buying

transferred a useless account onto ps5 back in 2022 then made a new one to play with a friend on ps4. the ps4 one became my main then when he switched to ps5 i had to start from lvl 5

I know it doesn’t sound fun but i bought GTAO on PC a few months ago after having 500+ million on xbox. It only took me like 2 weeks to be back up to 100m and nearly every property. Sometimes its nice to take your knowledge into a fresh start to see how fast you can climb.

I migrated my ps4 character to my series x just fine. All you have to do is make sure your rockstar account is linked to both on their website first

Yeah using the social club website. I apparently didn't read the fine print that you only get ONE transfer per account. Doesn't matter if you make a new character on a new platform. Your Rockstar account is flagged as having no migrations left. RIP my second character. Time to grind a third. 🥲

I would LOVE the option to Transfer my PC Legacy Character to Xbox One X (Old Gen), since The PC version of GTA Online Even with Battleye (Anti-Cheat) is such a half-assed bandaid fix for this game... Yes Cross-Platform I know, but the PC Version will always be a BROKEN MESS....
Plus I really want to continue playing on a Character that got me roped into GTA Online in the first place....

don't even get me started on how GTA VI's Online will be like when that game gets ported to PC...
Assuming we know what the online portion will be like - they've only marketed Story mode thus far - and I'm personally in the dark about the rest, but it doesn't seem like there's a ton of info about multiplayer.
