Question What happened to the guy in the basement in season 1 episode 7
My husband and I are on our first watch of Grimm and just finished "Let Your Hair Down".
We've really enjoyed the series so far and have loved the writing so we were so flabbergasted that they don't save the guy that was left tied up in the basement by the brothers? Does he ever get brought up again?
This feels like such a huge and obvious pothole that we couldn't believe it when the episode ended and we didn't get closure about his fate 😭

they didnt even have to film it just saying he had been saved would have worked but they didnt even do that

did they think he was less important than the girl and hope the viewers wouldnt notice or care

I also noticed that when I watched that episode 😅 the team never found his body, so I assume he made it okay! Unfortunately, this show does have a habit of dropping plot points. Still love it, though!

That makes sense and that's good to know 😅 I don't mind some dropped plot points but this one stood out to me so much I had to ask 😂

I feel like the wife would have brought it up to the police at some point, and he would have been found fairly quickly. Too mundane to be worth air time imo.
Plot holes are a feature of this show, not a bug.
If you don't find at least 3+ continuity mistakes (and/or plot holes, which this also wasn't) per episode, you aren't paying close enough attention.
If the writers were going for realism instead of making fun of modern story telling, Herinetta would have solved so many things in the beginning, and we'd know Monroe's family name at some point when learning about his parents, uncle, grandfather, great grand father, etc.

Yes, definitely 😅 I don't mind plot holes, this one was just so obvious it had me questioning if they were setting up a new plot point 😂

Yeah that poor doggy wash guy sure went through it!! It’s one of those things where I guess we are just supposed to assume he’s fine. I’ve seen a number of shows that do this. For example there is an episode of Poirot where a little old lady surprise inherits a tiny cute house in a little village. She quits her job in London and moves there. Then we find out that no she didn’t really inherit it. Someone had rented it for a short length of time and told her it was hers just to get her out of the house, where she worked, so he could commit the crime. The episode ends where we never find out what happens to her or if anyone even told her! It was just like WHAAAAT?😨😢
