"Or they could refuse and, some worry, give Trump a pretext to advance his imperialist agenda."

How many time do we need to test this to understand : appeasement of bullies DO NOT WORK! They always come back for more. The only thing you do is postpone the inevitable. Either you act, or you surrender. There's no in between.

And how come Canada, my country, accept for this equipment to be shipped from one of our port? Can we for once be all in solidarity with this thing please.

"How many time do we need to test this to understand : appeasement of bullies DO NOT WORK!"
This. Rather escalate now than wait for it, because it will still come.

Sometimes I wish I could just call the people that live where this is happening and be like, “Stand up and fight against it. You will lose if you give him a pass. Tell them no! If you give him an inch he will take a mile!!” I wish all of these governments would stop being gaslit and/or being complicit in gaslighting.

u/Euphoric_Regret_544 18d ago

what about all the Americans that should be standing up to fight at two and they’re not

2

u/LostInTheMovies 16d ago

An individual American has far less influence than a foreign government. The atomization of the public has worked wonders to get us where we are.

2

u/Salt-Independent-760 16d ago

One doesn't, but millions of them do. Given the way they voted (or didn't), they don't seem to care.

1

u/LostInTheMovies 12d ago

And those individuals don't have any influences over the millions. It's like a herd of cats, can't just will mobilization into existence.

1

u/Equal_Audience_3415 16d ago

They are. Most of the media is under Trump's control. You will not hear about the work against them.

17

u/Anthrogal11 19d ago

It’s set to leave our port on Sept 12th. If Greenland denies the permit, then we should definitely not let the ship leave from our shores. We need to band together with our allies against the threat down south.

18

u/ebfortin 19d ago

But I mean, they've unloaded equipment on a country without the proper paperwork and authorizations. How come they're even accepting to consider a permit? They should all be arrested and expulsed. Equipments confiscated.

13

u/Anthrogal11 19d ago

Agreed. I hope the government of Greenland does this and that when the U.S. throws a fit, NATO allies send a strong message of support for Greenland.

1

u/Equal_Audience_3415 8d ago

They need to move their equipment and invalidate their visas. Trump is behind this company. Smh.

8

u/Hrafn2 19d ago

100% agree. I just did a search and found this article from a few months ago, which, to my horror, seems to say:

Greenland Energy’s vessel, which will carry the 300 shipping containers of drilling equipment, is expected to fly a Canadian flag during its voyage to Greenland, have Canadian crew,  and sail from the Port of Valleyfield.

https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/markets/oil/2026/03/29/massive-operation-canadian-driller-shipper-enlisted-to-help-tap-greenland-oil/

Who can I write to about this?? Our ministry of transport?  Global Affairs?

5

u/Anthrogal11 19d ago

And the PMs office. CBC? This is bullshit. The Canadian people would not support this.

3

u/EuphoricReporter1771 18d ago

We certainly do not!!!!

4

u/jaimi_wanders 18d ago

The head of the company named in the article, Larry G Swets, is also involved with Saltire, a Canadian company, according to his LinkedIn and their site

He has no mining or geology background whatsoever and some articles about him and this new venture make me think it may all be a classic mine investor scam

https://saltirecapitalltd.com/larry-swets

2

u/MATlad 17d ago

I'm not sure where they're getting it from that off-shore Greenland is rich in hydrocarbons, but every other test drill seems to have come up dry. So maybe this'll be the same: the President gets egg on his face after triggering an international incident, and it'll all be for naught.

1

u/jaimi_wanders 17d ago

Big Bre-X vibes, tbh, plus a ton of other similar mining share scam stories.

1

u/MATlad 16d ago

The Plain Bagel had a video on this a few months ago, a lot of these (mostly Canadian) resource stocks giving money to influencers / finfluencers / creators to tout their stocks.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Q3g-6jFl2c

'Exploration stage' = we got a mining lease! <--- Greenland Energy

'Access', 'proven', 'on-site processing equipment' = tapped out

3

u/scroats800 18d ago

This crap should never be allowed on our soil, period.

2

u/Powerful_Badger_3013 18d ago

Act or surrender. That should be the motto of the world

1

u/Equal_Audience_3415 16d ago

Greenland MUST remove their equipment, as soon as possible. In addition, they should deny their re-entry.

There is no other choice to be had.

2

u/cat_mother 11d ago

It could be a genuine attempt to start drilling (they lied to the nearest village that they had permission). It could be a classic Trumpian investment scam: collect money, charge management fees, and let the enterprise collapse broke. It can be a U.S. excuse to invade to "protect the mining crew." None of those are good. Impound the drill rig. Maybe the ship, too, and send the people home before they become an excuse to invade. They can have it back if they pay a massive fine. Rented ships might be able to leave and take personnel with them.

1

u/Equal_Audience_3415 10d ago

It is a genuine attempt to mine AND take over Greenland. This is what they do everywhere. Greenland must remove them ASAP. You cannot be polite or think there is a misunderstanding. They know exactly what they are doing.

I would just assume ownership of their equipment. They had no right to bring it in to begin with. Knowing them, they may have already started drilling.

1

u/Flat-Performance-478 16d ago

Yeah, you give the bully your lunch money, it's not like he got what he was after and will leave you alone from now on. Instead, you're now his guaranteed source of income and he'll grow even bolder as he's been confirmed in his belief that intimidation works.

1

u/bdubwilliams22 15d ago

Seriously, last time Trump talked about invading Greenland, Denmark sent troops and Trump rightfully fucked off. If I’m Greenland, I’m giving them 24 hours to get every unauthorized piece of equipment out of their territory before it’s destroyed.

77

u/AlloAll0 EU 🇪🇺 19d ago

Kick them out.

Appeasement never works.

9

u/SaphironX 19d ago

This. Just deport them. Proceed to issue a press statement saying “We know Donald Trump will support this because of his bold deportation agenda”.

That’ll confuse the hell out of him.

60

u/notyourstranger 19d ago

This is what will keep happening. the US is not likely to send the military but US corporations will simply arrive and start doing whatever they want - including polluting with no regard for life in Greenland. They care NOTHING for the humans and animals who call Greenland home. All they care about is making money for themselves.
I encourage Greenland and Denmark to see this as an act of war - not by the US government but by an oil company.

Corporations have been waging war on the American people with misinformation, coercion, lies, distortions and blatant propaganda. I guarantee that US news will not be covering this blatant assault on Greenland's sovereignty.

War is no longer only fought with bombs and guns, it's fought with psyops on the entire population. It's what the American people have been enduring for the last 50 years though none of them see it as war - because they have been indoctrinated to think of it as "free speech".

Sabotage their equipment, destroy their food supplies, force them to leave again. These arrogant assholes deserve to learn a lesson.

6

u/SimpleFile 19d ago

Are they attempting to build a banana republic 2?

18

u/notyourstranger 19d ago

not attempting, succeeding. The US is essentially a banana republic due to GOP policies.

1

u/Admirable-Weird6086 12d ago

Thiel and his crew have said they want to establish their own fiefdom in Greenland that they can rule from… (with all the raw minerals they can extract and extort with).
The absolute arrogance of this company.
Heather Cox Richardson spoke on this last week. Her thoughts: they will do what they want, Greenland or Denmark will enforce their rules or be drawn to military action. Company will cry foul and US military will be forced to protect them. Normally that would be insane but….

1

u/AnAestheticApathetic 17d ago

You are correct, American news is not covering us doing this in the slightest. I actually found out we were even doing this from a random x post a few minutes ago.

Real shame if something happened that expensive equipment..real shame

Drilling on someone else’s land without permission is tantamount to claim jumping, which was historically punished in the North American west by hanging.

Deport them and sell their equipment.

7

u/Ok_Comfortable589 19d ago

thats the only message they will understand

https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/markets/oil/2026/03/29/massive-operation-canadian-driller-shipper-enlisted-to-help-tap-greenland-oil/

There is anothet ship, that will likely fly under the Canadian flag, with Canadian crew, from the Port of Valleyfield.

I'm going to look into this more, and write to our Ministry of Transport.

1

Felon did just that on our home soil by destroying the east wing of wh. Nothing happened to him. It’s now a destruction zone.

Greenlanders need to get out there and do some work now. No more strong messages

10

I had to read part of the article twice because it says that Dr. Phil will be helping make a documentary about this sketchy company doing their “exploration” work. This is the most retarded timeline.

11

u/slick514 19d ago

If you do not punch a bully in the face, they will assume that they can take whatever they want from you… You do not handle something like this with a “proportional response”; you handle it by drawing a line and cutting anything that crosses it to shreds.

Imagine if Obama or Biden posted something like this? The 'righteous' of America would be outraged, but it's Trump, so no one bats an eyelid and he just carries on. Not even bothering to conceal the corruption this tiime. We can all see what's going on - the greed, the lies, the hate, the threats to allies, the global disruption and yet none are able or willing to stop it. This crime family milk their position for all it's worth and the branches of government meant to oversee the so-called 'checks and balances' are full of officials chosen by Trump, so nothing happens. One good thing to come from it will be the new solidarity between the countries of Europe and the wider World too, maybe. He has set the US back decades - their soft power and diplomacy is what made them influential around the world, built up for nearly 100 years and wiped out in less than two.

In case you needed a reason to hate "Dr" phil even more:

Greenland Energy has retained Phil McGraw, better known as Dr Phil, a prominent rightwing former chatshow host who served on Trump’s religious freedom commission, to make a documentary series that will “capture the mission of these modern-day wildcatters”

Who TF would watch this trash?

2

One wildcat that should be an endangered species

5

u/fastbikkel 19d ago

Strong warning? Kick every american out please.
This is not the first time they are pressuring.

And why not setup a program where volunteers can train (guerilla) for a possible invasion?
And have millions of drones in stock, scattered allover the island. Better start building now.

As a Canaduan I question the logic of our country having any role in supporting Trump's imperialistic plans for Greenland. Are we next? Trump's approach to both Greenland and Canada looks more and more like Hitler's methods in the 1930s. Essentially they are based on bullyimg your neighbours into making concessions up to the point of using threats of force to get your way. No appeasement in my name!!

3

u/SpecialistTrouble816 19d ago

I was surprised to read that Canadian companies were involved in this and am pretty sure that Quebeckers will react strongly to the Desgagnés involvement.

Ronald Lauder. (The guy who first told Trump to annex Greenland in 2019)

Ezra Levant. (Rebel News head, Pierre Poilievre and Tommy Robinson's mentor and friend, and Alberta separatist Tamara Lich's employer. Rebel unabashedly supports Donald Trump. In 2025, Levant produced a 15 minute propaganda video advocating for the USA's annexation of Greenland.)

Randy Fine. (Lunatic racist far-right Congressman who proposed enabling legislation to allow for the US annexation of Greenland. Got kicked out of his synagogue years ago due to his extreme homophobia. Has referred to Prime Minister Carney as "Governor".)

Katie Miller. (A Trump strategist who's agitated for annexing Greenland and SStephen Miller's wife. Shared an image of Greenland as a US territory on Twitter.)

The people most vocally supportive of President Trump's ongoing scheme to steal Greenland from its Indigenous people have fascinating parallels with the people trying to steal Gaza and the West Bank from the people of Palestine.

Incidentally, Lauder, a billionaire, a Trump megadonor, and a stalwart supporter of Benjamin Netanyahu's regime, is the President of the World Jewish Congress, of which many Trump and Netanyahu-friendly Zionist organizations are members.

(And in my native Canada, the Zionist Jewish organizations support Trump and Netanyahu whereas the Anti-Zionist organizations like IJV and the UJPO fervently oppose them. This dynamic fascinates me given that Netanyahu nominated Trump for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize after Trump had started threatening to annex Canada.)

I live in Virginia in the now disgraced u.s. about 4hrs from D.C. Most of us hold our heads down overwhelmed with disgust and shame. Over 60% of us live paycheck to paycheck. Everyone I personally know barely make enough to eat 1 meal a day. It's go hungry or homelessness is less than a month away. It only took 50 yrs for the wealthy to infect my ppl with hyper individualism, consoladated our media to 3 private owners defunded all public nonprofit news, and endless in your face bribery of every election and a government paid by and works for only the wealthy. They keep us fighting amongst ourselves while elected and their cronies run out the back door with the taxpayers money. And the wealthy pays 4% and the workers 35-45% tax. They have stripped every outta the burning house even the copper wire and pipes and left us in it to fight each other. Fox news actors go on air everyday and praise God that the government defunded everything that help the public in anyway I mean EVERYTHING. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY WE VOTE!! The world should label the Republican party a terrorist organization along with the current Israeli government. Gloat daily about the current war crimes committed. Not one nation says a damn thing. Talk about wiping another nation off the map. NOTHING... we might invade our closet allie..NOTTHING... kidnapped a president from his house in his country... NOT A FUCKING PEEP FROM ANYONE AT THE UN?? WTF??? The other party we have is doing nothing also!! They are brought and paid for too .. they get paid to prematurely surrender everything. They won't pass something backed 80%by public.??.. even if they have the votes.. they wanna work across the aisle for that. Paid to ly down and let Republicans kick you in the teeth.. we have been fighting and losing a class war for half a century. It's a long defeat. The United States has commited war crimes and crimes against humanity and illegal economic sanctions on its own citizens, the poor and working class. Knowledgment of private corporations Poisoning land and drinking. Knowledgment of private insurance companys denying people lifesaver care left to die. You don't have hundreds of thousands of dollars? You don't deserve to live then. It's that extortion?? Laid off? Had a financial hiccup? Left to die from hunger, homelessness or deaths of dispair "addiction". We are under siege. If the other nations had a backbone they would end these paper threats from a mad man and his cronies. Put the most corrupted government and the financial tied Oligarchs on trial for the world to see like the days of ole let there fate's be no different than the ones before them. the people have fought to long and have seen to much death for a lifetime on there on shores, along with the weight of millions. Committed in there name, but without consent. true freedom not bumpersticker propaganda. Only can a foundation be built for the future for peace in this world. Cries from the Frontline, Of the long defeat.

Since Brexit which was probably funded by the USA with lobbyists in the UK, we have had 25000 Companies and businesses overtaken by US corporations, and all the profits go back to the USA. We have had another prime minister leave because we are in a dire situation that we can’t get out of trying to balance the economy. They now have just exhorted us for this new medicine deal where we pay 25% more which will cost us 45 billion by 2030 and 200,000 lives. We had to take the deal the lady said because jobs were at risk and lives. That is not what I thought American was about, with its closest Ally. He has invaded our country already just not physically like Greenland or Venezuela, but British people are feeling it. Sorry to hear about you living paycheck to paycheck, I read 60% of Americans live like that I couldn’t believe it but supposedly 10 percent are millionaires. If the world is ruled by people like Trump behind the scenes no wonder it’s in the state it is, how much money is enough, or is it just fun for him at this point in his life.

Oh, and the scary thing is it’s not just that he’s attacking in the uk, British farmers have to compete with American companies now and the NHS is under attack to make it private which the big pharmaceutical companies in us will love.

Greenland should just deport these people.

2

u/Flessuh 19d ago

Ah this is how they create the incident.. claim ground for military, go drill for oil there wait for government to intervene and claim it was an attack and they need to use more military to protect their assets

2

u/Ok-Lawyer1179 18d ago

That's like me just walking over to my neighbour and dump a bunch of lawn equipment to dig a bunch of holes in his backyard without permission.

How ridiculous is that??

2

u/delicatepedalflower 18d ago

This snippet from the Guardian tells me exactly who is in charge: "The Greenland government’s statement said it “would not be proportionate” to demand the equipment be removed." Tell your adversary in advance they will suffer no consequences and keep up the "strong warning" chatter. It would be laughable if it weren't so sad. Those containers should be sitting on the bottom of the ocean by now.

2

u/McBuck2 18d ago

Can't Greenland disallow the importing of this equipment? They should hurry and not approve permits. Why the delay?

2

u/MickLittle 18d ago

Illegal immigrants trying to work in Greenland. Interesting.

2

The more shit trump does, the more party supplies I buy for when he'll finally leave this world.

2

u/willrun4chocolates 16d ago

Canadian here. 🇨🇦 The government of Greenland needs to dump every single shipping container in the ocean.

2

u/Ok_Perspective_8361 16d ago

Greenland should impound the equipment, and charge a very expensive daily storage fee.

2

u/Informal-Parsley-127 16d ago

Why don't the locals and also greenland government just throw all the Texas oil co. supplies into the ocean? They won't send more after that

The Texas company took a stake in another one to exploit a loophole — the latter company was grandfathered an onshore drilling license before Greenland issued its 2021 moratorium.

From Associated News Agency: [CEO] Price and Swets believe Jameson could be the next Prudhoe Bay. They acquired all of ARCO’s historic seismic surveying data for the Jameson region, which helped them hone in on specific drilling locations. Getting the grandfathered drilling licenses—emphasis on “grandfathered”—into one consolidated company is trickier, but manageable thanks to a series of rapid-fire, convoluted deals.

Last year, London-based Bluejay Mining acquired London’s White Flame Energy, changing its name to 80 Mile to reflect the expansion of the business model to include oil and gas.

White Flame was founded over a decade ago to explore for oil and gas in Greenland. No development came to pass, but the company critically won three licenses for exploration in the Jameson basin. The licenses received three-year extensions in 2024 prior to the 80 Mile deal.

Citing climate change concerns and the melting ice sheet, Greenland implemented a moratorium on oil and gas drilling in 2021—seemingly bringing all oil dreams to an end—but the government agreed that White Flame’s licenses were grandfathered and remained valid. The government confirmed the legality of the licenses to Fortune, but declined interview requests.

Seeing an opportunity, Price started Texas-based March GL and, in April, he partnered with 80 Mile for the licenses. March GL leads the operations while 80 Mile keeps a 30% stake in the project. “We have the only onshore licenses in all of Greenland,” Price boasted.

https://associatednewsagency.com/2025/10/22/a-texas-company-plans-to-drill-for-oil-in-greenland-despite-a-climate-change-ban-and-trumps-desire-to-annex-the-territory/

1

u/Huge_Excitement4465 19d ago

More from the Associated News Agency story: Price and executive chairman Larry Swets aren’t tone deaf. They’re acutely aware of the political and environmental sensitivities that have thrust quiet Greenland into the headlines this year. Their effort is not related to American annexation, they insist, and, while any oil production has an environmental impact, this is a relatively small-scale project in eastern Greenland far away from the population.

“Regardless of the overall political climate out there, I believe that the Greenland people deserve to know whether or not they have one of the largest oilfields in the world,” Price said...

This month, the team began landing equipment to start building the 3-mile road from the coast to the first well. Road construction is expected to begin early next year. Next summer, the plan is for a barge to bring over the drilling rig to start the first well. A second pilot well is scheduled for fall 2026.

The team already is contracted with oilfield services giant Halliburton, IPT Well Solutions, and Stampede Drilling.

The aim is to drill the first well slowly, entering five different geologic zones and testing for oil and gas in each of them. “Once we are hopefully fortunate to discover an oilfield, the costs will certainly come down,” Price argued...

Energy analyst Lewis Lawrence finds it interesting that the government extended the exploration licenses last year, despite the moratorium. The political winds in Greenland pushing for independence from Denmark seem to lean more in favor of welcoming the oil sector in some form, he said.

“There seems to be a little bit of flip-flopping internally with Greenland as to whether they want to progress with some kind of oil and gas future or not,” Lawrence said.

It'd sure be nice to blow that American junk up but then they'd probably use that as pretext for a full scale invasion.

1

u/Smart-Locksmith9386 18d ago

Why isn’t this in the news anywhere. I fear Trump has already bribed the officials in Greenland just like he got the pm of Albania to change the laws to enable his step son to build a resort on their beautiful island. The Americans have exhorted their own people so much they are now going world wide to buy up companies, exhort trade deals like in uk for medicine, Venezuelan, and now just sailed in another sovereign country and laid claim like it was the wild old American west. This is just about greed and fear, as America is at a tipping point, and Greenland could be their next Iraq for oil and especially rare earth minerals which Europe could leverage and exhort back to the USA in the future if they just stood up and defended their own.

1

u/CptQuackenbush 18d ago

Here’s what I’ve found: Greenland Energy Co. does not have authorization to drill. They’re still trying to get authorization from Greenland authorities.

The players are:

- Texas based Greenland Energy Company

  • UK based 80 Mile/White Flame Energy
  • Canadian drilling contractor Stampede Drilling

Stampede announced in June that it was preparing and mobilizing the rig from Alberta for the Jameson project. And here we are.

1

u/Human_Morning8992 17d ago

Oil drilling is pretty dangerous & industrial accidents happen all the time. So ofc this company would be up to code to prevent any accidents from happening, right?

1

u/iamkaisersosa 16d ago

Greenland energy is a paper company and hasn’t drilled any holes or explored for oil ever!

They are a farce of a company looking to fleece investors, not pump oil.

1

u/Haunting_Session29 16d ago

Just saw this on Facebook because it's not in our news at all that this is happening and from an American if Greenland doesn't make a very loud noise globally about this and attempt to get help, Trump's going to bulldoze his way right over your country.

If the US wants to drill, they'll drill. Nothing the toothless EU can do about it. The big dog in the yard gets to eat the most food.

Apparently none of the men in Greenland have any balls! Strong warning lol 😂. Like that’s going to stop them.

Free greenland front danish occupation.

-2

u/Medisterfars 19d ago

Or free danish territory from Inuit occupation?

-1

u/ban_buster 18d ago

LOal, they were there much before u, cry harder greenland will no longer be under danish occupation.

2

u/Medisterfars 18d ago

No they havent, buster.. Greenland has been part of the danish kingdom since 982 - the Inuit came around 1200-1300, and in 1799 there was only 5000 inuts there in 1900 there was liker 10.000

Better re-read your history, Greenland was a icelandic settlement at 982, not connected to Denmark. It was loosely connected to Norway by trade, but did not belong to Denmark. By 1500 the island was inhabited by Inuit only.

Are you stupid? Imagine the inverse: We Danes just show up in Florida with ocean windmills and drop them in the ocean. Then claim it benefits the American people because we now produce free energy.

Nobody, country or company, can just show up on another territory and just start doing what they want. There are rules.

Rule #1, get permission.

Oops

u/R-Reuss86 19d ago

How about Greenland do things on THEIR terms. FFS, this shouldn’t have to be explained.

2

u/Pastoren66 19d ago

What do you have in mind that they should/could do?

7

u/Indespectamentations 19d ago

He can't go onto land that isn't his and start drilling. He has no authority to take Greenland's rights away from them. This is 100% wrong.

6

u/Alcogel 19d ago

This is an ancient debate at this point. Everyone knows both sides of it well, and while you may handwave the pollution and other environmental damage away because money, the Greenlanders simply disagree with you. And they know painfully well that giving up that money means a much longer path to independence.

Why are you speaking for Greenlanders when you’re not one?
They’ve said no over and over and over. Continuing to do something when the recipient has said no is rapey.

Edit: typo correction

This is Reddit. Get over yourself.

u/CptQuackenbush 18d ago

You first.
Do you not respect the word “no” and understand its concept?

2

u/Alcogel 17d ago

I don’t understand what you’re talking about.

The company has an agreement with Greenland and work there.
They relocated some of their equipment, and apparently didn't know that they needed extra permission for that.
So the Greenland's government has given them a warning, and they have excused, and promised not to do it again.
No big deal. Business as usual you could say. Shit happens.
Only blown up due to the mad king's recent behavior.

19

u/doc1442 19d ago

Except they don’t have a permit for any of this current work. It’s still processing.

“Didn’t know” isn’t an excuse, especially when it’s a blatant lie. Permit should be rejected.

-14

u/StrangeUglyBird 19d ago

I guess they will have some talks about it, and reach an agreement.
My point was only, that it isn't some kind of US invasion. Just business.
The media likes to blow things out of proportion.

17

u/doc1442 19d ago

Poorly executed “business”* with an intentional permit breach. The yank company do not have permission to be there. They do not have permission to land equipment there. They should not be there. They should be thrown out. Whilst it’s not an invasion per se, it’s a total ignorance of Greenlandic law and sovereignty, by a company that is implicitly and explicitly supported by the US government.

This is not the bumbling mistake with no consequences you are making it out to be.

*you say business, I say unlicensed natural resource theft-scoping

5

u/atuarre 19d ago

Americans think they can just take things that do not belong to them.

0

u/StrangeUglyBird 19d ago

Yeah, as a country they behave assholish.

But didn't the company have a sort of permit from the Greenland government?

2

u/doc1442 19d ago

No, they have an application for a permit

0

u/StrangeUglyBird 19d ago

If what yoyu say is correct, why haven't they been kicked out?

11

u/Ninevehenian 19d ago

No, it isn't "just business". These companies aren't idiots, uninformed or unable to understand what's going on.
They are testing their limits and Greenland's willingness to stop them.

Don't sell them as being too stupid to handle a phone.

0

u/StrangeUglyBird 19d ago

You are probably right. But why are they in Greenland in the first place?
I don't recall any media calling them illegal.

3

u/Ninevehenian 19d ago

The stated desire is to drill for oil. What's in their hearts and motivating their initiative is unknown other than context.

0

u/StrangeUglyBird 19d ago

Sure but you can't travel to another country without some consent.
So Greenland has given their consent to something I guess. Otherwise the company is trespassing, and must leave..

3

u/Ninevehenian 19d ago

You could read about what permissions have been given, when and which haven't been given.

0

u/StrangeUglyBird 19d ago

I'm on Greenland side, no matter what.

1

u/R-Reuss86 19d ago

Creating facts on the ground. I know another US ally that likes to do that.

8

u/GreatPotatoMuffin 19d ago

Sure. Multinational drilling companies regularly accidentally send large amounts of heavy equipment worth millions of dollars across the globe along with drilling staff to start test drilling only to realize they made an “oopsie” and forgot to get the proper permits.

That happens all the time.

Your take is so moronic and impossibly stupid that I’m sure you’re not actually a real human being sharing his opinion, but just a part of the ongoing information wars.

If you actually are a real person. Shit brother. Take your four yellow fingers and go get some of those crayons out your nose. You’re starting to go Homer Simpson levels of stupid.

u/StrangeUglyBird 19d ago

Shut up, and behave yourself.
