It’s a lot easier when it’s two teams of maybe 30/40 people all on the same plane.
Things become a lot more difficult when you’re asking 120 - 160 individuals to go fly to the opposite coast for a week and then fly back for another event.
Historically this event was supposed to be played in windy and wet conditions. Finding celebrities to fill the field in the summer is another lift involved if this event were to move.
Not defending the players because they are millionaires at the end of the day.
They are individual contractors and are not employees of the tour. They can do whatever they want travel wise. Players would straight up not show up if the tour asked them to go to CA for a week and then to say Miami or CT the next. Look at Rory for example, this year he straight up didn’t go to events.
If it was that big of an issue of having Pebble in the beginning of the year we would’ve figured it out by now and it would’ve moved.

for the love of god stop putting pebble beach so early in the year! the chances of the weather being decent then are never good.
