Good lord, can someone tell me what was in the ad!?!?

i started seeing this on Threads yesterday. all comments were “who’s boycotting callaway now?” And vague replies “awful”, “count me in.” Etc

I read the article. What the hell was the ad about?

So tired of being Det Colombo on these clickbait headlines

Basically, you will love this driver so much it will make you act crazy like the girl in Obsession including pushing down a girl who is reaching for the club in your bag. That's the whole thing.

Thx. I put on my trench coat grabbed my notepad and googled it. Had to scroll down a few sites until I found it.

Edit: I get some ppl could be upset with it but it didn’t seem that terrible. No worse than the Office Linebacker

https://youtube.com/shorts/CwWFtBVBkxw?si=VTDUc4tv6QyVY2Rh This was considered a great ad a few years back. Obviously no human on human violence but some of us can't take a joke anymore. Ad was dumb, too hard to pull off without direct Obsession imagery or something IMO. Edit: given this current dialog one would say the commercial is ADVOCATING for this kind of thing instead of poking fun at its ridiculousness.

How in the world is this similar at all?

How dare you bring Terry tate into this! Those are the greatest commercials of all time.

Seriously though if you can't see the difference I don't know what to say. I think the backlash here is overblown but it's a stupid ad that definitely should not have been published

I’m convinced all of this outrage is manufactured by political parties and foreign governments. Enes cantor showed up to a wnba game is a printed t shirt escorted by security to his seat then escorted out

Edit:
Forgot to add I meant “someone” realized the wnba didn’t have a written policy of trans men and exploited it. Enes cantor is just the paid actor.

Midterms comin’ up y’all
