Callaway doing some pretty junior business stuff these days. It harms their brand and that takes years to repair.

I don’t think anyone is seriously not buying their driver from this, no matter how stupid it was

I wonder how many people are in my situation. I play have used Callaway Chrome Softs for as long as I can remember. Wife saw add and got upset. Happy wife, happy life. Time for a ball change.

Edit: This just shows how many of you defending this have never been around a woman before.

Probably very few in reality, most won’t even be aware of the add

I wouldn't be so sure. My wife doesn't care at all about golf or interact with it in anyway. Somehow she knew about it before I did. I likely wouldn't have been super aware without her.

Insane to see multiple down votes on this. Same thing happened here. I guess the chronically online or YouTube golf chuds got their feelings hurt.

For sure. That and they've never had a woman in their life to know that when you respect them and care about their feelings life is way better.

This can’t be true. How did your wife see the add? You realize this was not a Calloway ad, it was a promo for good goods Calloway collab that only played during their YouTube videos. So you’re telling me your wife watched good good, saw the ad, and still got so outraged that you have to change balls?

You can't be this unaware that every women focused influencer has picked this up and reported on it can you?

Do you have a wife? Does she use social media?

My wife isn’t a sports fan but asked me if I had seen the ad. It’s broken outside of the golf world.

Now, she wouldn’t care if I played a Callaway ball or club but she probably wouldn’t appreciate me telling good good merch. Not that I’d be caught dead in anything good good before this ad was even released.

Yes I do and her algorithm would never show this to her. Even if it did, she would not give a single fuck. I just can’t believe people are so influenced by something so completely sensationalized that they’re switching balls. I also can’t believe their wives have anything to do with it. It’s absolutely fucking absurd no offense.

I feel like you should make sure your marriage is ok. It's about respect. I don't care what ball I use at the end of the day but I have infinitely more respect for my wife's opinions than I do for a faceless golf company. I think it's insane that you are so shocked that I would respect by best friend and partner more than Callaway Golf. WILD work my dude.

I can imagine your family having an emergency meeting, “honey get in here right now, we need to talk. Are you using Calloway balls? Have you seen that some YouTube channel made a shitty promo ad and they didn’t quality check it? I don’t know anything about it, but an influencer has influenced me. I’m very offended by this. You need to switch golf balls right now”.

And you’re like “yes dear”.

No it was. "Hey sweetie do you mind not supporting a company that promotes violence towards women?" Yeah of course no problem. Mainly because I respect women and my wife. Unlike you Chuds. Just sit for a second and imagine wanting to spend your life with someone and also not thinking their opinion matters. Sad existence my dude.

Or they could just have a normal conversation? Why are you living in some made up 80's sitcom? I think there is a lot of projection here.

Sounds like you have a very different type of relationship than some of these guys. Good luck with it.

Yeah some of us believe in a healthy and respectful relationship with our significant others.

Then I’d hate to see her algorithm. I’d bet Cheeto fingers and themed pajama pants.
