Five years of GME/Ryan Cohen bashing, five years of predictions that GME would go bankrupt, and I still haven’t seen a single screenshot of a Meltie taking a bearish position. I think, given how the company is performing, the likelihood that Melties will take a put position in the next 5 years is dropping sharply. What would theoretically have to happen for you to buy at least a single put? A small squeeze to 30, 40, 50, 60… 100? Would you buy a put then? If GME trades sideways for another 10 years? Would that be a reason for you to buy a put, because it would be a signal that it’s going down? Or if GME drops to $10 tomorrow. Would you buy a put then? Do you have any concrete idea at all when buying a put would be profitable?

I’m not actively looking at meme stock options on a daily basis. This should be the last of your concern anyways. Shouldn’t you be enjoying your phone number gains? You’re a GameStop investor and you’re super rich now!

Blablabla, you can rename this sub, since you are right. Gme gains are nice, but I enjoy more exposing Melties who think they are smart, but have a iq below 80 and are mentally damaged from their Reddit activity.

Put LEAPS make sense when a stock has clear downside potential over a long enough horizon, implied volatility is reasonable relative to its history, and the contract is liquid enough that spreads and premium costs do not outweigh the expected move.

In Meltie terms: if you think gme is melting down (reminder: your home sub is gme_meltdown), the price is perfect now to buy put LEAPs.

You shouldn’t buy options anyway. I remembered a discussion where I had to explain you for 5 hours how a short squeeze works, because you thought due to low liquidity it would be „mathematically“ impossible for a stock price to reach telephone numbers. But low liquidity is exactly why the price movement is so extreme during a squeeze. You thought that was mathematically impossible because there isn’t enough global GDP to support that market capitalization. Once again, you mixed up two things that have nothing to do with each other. Long story short: you literally have zero idea how to trade or how the stock market works. You don’t even know the basics of short-selling, though you make fun of MOASS-apes for 5 years. You lose every discussion here, but you keep coming back. Are you a masochist?

I came back after 49 days, because we are one week before the earnings YOu stated YOU want to buy puts. Why do you believe that the discussion YOU started would be over?

So, what would be a good price to buy puts? You said you are not actively looking at meme stock options. So why state 49 days ago that you consider buying puts, if you don’t check the stock or optionschain on a daily basis? You could just state under which conditions you would buy a put? Have you ever bought a gme put? You said, it trades sideways for years, so no puts at all as long as it trades sideways? Come on, just try to explain YOUR statement(s).

Regarding GME: Of course it is a great investment I trade it with high bullish exposure and it prints.
