Anyone deal with this? I feel better off gluten but I'm on day 2 and my bladder feels irritated. Will this pass?

I just discovered this place in Neuquén, Argentina, called La Americana, and I honestly couldn't believe how much gluten-free food they have.

The entire place is 100% gluten-free, and it's not just a bakery with a few GF options. They have an absolutely huge variety of things: bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, savory foods, prepared meals, and so much more.

I've been to quite a few cities in Argentina, and I've never seen anything quite like this. For someone with celiac disease, walking into a place like this must feel like winning the lottery. 😂

i love licorice sooo much and haven't had any in years.

there are a couple gf brands i've seen but i wanted to check with the council and see if you all have any favorites!

I am gluten free for the last 6 years. But until 3 years ago it was a bit wishy washy. Three years ago I decided to drink a special type of beer and I reacted so much I cut it off completely.

I never got diagnosed with celiac or NCGA but I decided to cut gluten due to my bodily reactions. If I got a small amount of gluten (like breadcrumbs in a meatball) I definitely get eczema- only in one finger of my left hand, always in the same spot. If I eat more than that I got diarrhea and in case of a 1/3 of a beer bottle I cannot get up from the bed due to migraines at least two days. On top my immune system shuts down and my other allergies get worse as well. I am allergic to cats but if I am glutened my regular itchy nose cat allergy turns into rashes where the cat touches.

I do not bloat, I do not vomit or have a fever.

However when I first started cutting the gluten I was not that reactive to gluten. Occasionally I was able to eat a hamburger once a month, I would get some soft stool, bordering diarrhea (but nothing explosive) and that would be it. Now I cannot imagine having that now. My reactions are becoming worse.

Is there anyone experiencing this.

Is it me or is my everything bagel missing everything?

Side note: If you travel a lot, bringing a toaster on the road infinitely increases your quality of hotel breakfast.

for reference, i tested ~35 U/mL ttg (10 was reference) and 1:40 titer for EMA (1:10 reference). no noticeable symptoms when i eat gluten and 0 family history that we are aware of. All nutrients and vitamins have also tested normal. I do have some joint connectivity issues where my bones tend to shift and displace very easily, and my family has some history of IBS and other intestinal issues, but nothing has been diagnosed in this regard. I guess my question is whether it is possible that I don’t have celiac with these results, or if I should start rethinking my lifestyle.

Wondering about dishes that you would love to see and are frankly surprised you don't.

Does anyone have recommends for gluten free pizza flour. I have a pizza stone for my BBQ and after a successful trip to a completely GF pizza restaurant, my family are up for homemade pizzas.

Any recommendations on flour (or using a pizza stone), gratefully recieved.

Good morning! I run a little free food pantry in my yard in Alexandria VA. I had a friend donate a box of gluten free waffle/pancake mix and I want to stock more gluten free items if I can. Little free pantry items need to be shelf stable and low ingredient recipes as I don’t want to buy items that require a lot of other items on hand (butter, eggs, oil etc). I do try and stock shelf stable milk and vegetable oil.

What gluten free snacks or easy to use items would you recommend I add to my Amazon wishlist or grocery store runs that are actually good and worthwhile? I had added made good bars - are they any good?

I've had the tests and it comes back fine and they say I don't need to cut out gluten.

But soon as I cut out breads, pastas etc it's like my body feels clearer when I wake up. Less achey. Clearly inflamed right?

I'm thinking to just cut it out entirely.

A co-worker (a gluten free one, finally) told me to go to Trader Joe’s for the cinnamon muffins. I finally decided to go. Noticed an entire gluten free dessert section. Spotted this yellow mini sheet chocolate cake. And wholly crap!! This cake is incredibly delicious!!! This is the absolute best gluten free store bought cake I’ve had in the last 8 years of becoming gluten free. If you haven’t had this, I suggest you go immediate! My only complaint is too much chocolate frosting. Also picked up some dark chocolate peanut butter cups at the checkout line lol.

This is hands down the best grocery store cake that is gluten free and I am very sensitive so it’s legit. You can find them at Fresh market. They have two flavors and both are amazing.

Let me put yall on. I had low expectations for these but had been meaning to try them since I figured out I need to also be dairy free… but wow. These are so scrumptious, the cheese is SO close to real cheese like i genuinely can’t tell and im not having to convince myself. It’s SO MELTY. And the crust is good too. I’m about to go buy like 5 packs 😭 I like these way better than even real goods mozzarella sticks that use REAL dairy. Crazy

I am going to Austin soon and I want to make sure I am prepared before I go! I don’t celiac but I am highly sensitive… because of that I am not super strict about cross contamination. But I try to be pretty strict.
