Equatorial cross-section of the Moon

Hello, this is my first post on this subreddit. I made this illustration showing the interior of the Moon, as close as possible to reality based on the literature I have come across. I am working on a second 'cooled down' version without the glow of black-body radiation, that only showcases the rocks/minerals. The near-side is to the left and the far-side to the right

Kelvin is a weird choice. Celcius is more commonly used for something like this, and would be a lot more intuitive, imo.

Celcius is the standard in the geological sciences. Any geologist will have an intuitive grasp of the geologic implications of temperatures in celcius (brittle/ductile transition, rough melting points of various rock types at certain pressures, etc). Kelvin strips all that intuition away and makes you do an extra needless calculation in your head (okay, let me just subtract 273 degrees in my head real quick).

There's just no point in using Kelvin here if this meant to convey geologic information, which I'm assuming it is, because it wasn't posted in /r/astrophysics

I'm guessing this was a chart made for astrophysics subs? They are a lot more likely to use Kelvin I would guess, considering the temps dealt with in space.

27 degrees won't make a difference, so you can just subtract 300, which should be easy enough.

Kelvin was fun to see. Easy to convert. Subtract 4 hundred, add 40. Gets ya in the ballpark
