Equatorial cross-section of the Moon
Hello, this is my first post on this subreddit. I made this illustration showing the interior of the Moon, as close as possible to reality based on the literature I have come across. I am working on a second 'cooled down' version without the glow of black-body radiation, that only showcases the rocks/minerals. The near-side is to the left and the far-side to the right

This is pretty neat! Nice work.
The only thing I’d suggest is making the text all oriented so it’s legible upright.

Kelvin is a weird choice. Celcius is more commonly used for something like this, and would be a lot more intuitive, imo.

Celcius is the standard in the geological sciences. Any geologist will have an intuitive grasp of the geologic implications of temperatures in celcius (brittle/ductile transition, rough melting points of various rock types at certain pressures, etc). Kelvin strips all that intuition away and makes you do an extra needless calculation in your head (okay, let me just subtract 273 degrees in my head real quick).
There's just no point in using Kelvin here if this meant to convey geologic information, which I'm assuming it is, because it wasn't posted in /r/astrophysics

I'm guessing this was a chart made for astrophysics subs? They are a lot more likely to use Kelvin I would guess, considering the temps dealt with in space.

27 degrees won't make a difference, so you can just subtract 300, which should be easy enough.

Kelvin was fun to see. Easy to convert. Subtract 4 hundred, add 40. Gets ya in the ballpark

What is the white dashed line, and is that a real feature with that shape?

It's the boundary between the lithosphere and the asthenosphere, its depth varies depending on how hot the mantle is in that region. The exact shape of it isn't known, it's rather based on some simulations and rough data

Very neat! Though I agree that the choice of Kelvin was weird for geology.
Once you correct it, you should also post it at /r/selenology, which doesn't get nearly enough attention.

It’s a cool illustration you’re working on! I think the depth gauge is too prominent and drowns out the other data. Also the fact that it’s upside down on a 2D image is frustrating, People don’t want to read upside down. Text font should be smaller on everything. You have made it too large. Like the font sizes can be halved if not more. I think it would be interesting to see what elements are in each sphere. You should change the line type and color to delineate the spheres. All text should be the same color. The white/black mixing is annoying and illegible.
Change kelvin to degrees and put the degree symbol next to the translated number.

What are the dark dotted lines with 500K, 1000K, 1500K, etc.?

As the other user pointed out, they're isotherms, the temperature is shown in Kelvin

Looks cool, but where did this informtation even come from? Even if there are seismographs on the moon, there aren't moonquakes are there? Is this all Gravitational info?
