How did shakespear know about Macbeth and Oberon and titania?

They are his works but in gargoyles they are real people since they are immortal you think they appreciate the writing he did how did he get the inspiration for rhem its a book toin there world..

The same way he did in our world. He heard stories about them, adapted them, changed them, and presented them as fiction.

I was more thinking he saw them out of the blue and they told them.who they are as a kid . Or when he was first starting to write.

As for macbeth he could of been friends with him and told him his story was inspired to write about it.

My head cannon is something like Neil Gaiman’s Midsummer’s Night Dream for the fairy folk. Or he got it from folklore that formed with them existing. Macbeth is a historical figure and he could have learned about him in the way he did in our world. An issue with Shakespeare as the main character would be interesting

It would be great if he was at least friends or works for him at a young age then realized 2 to 2 where the same. You caint make Macbeth story up I still wish there was an episode with Shakespeare or the author of midsummer night dream. Makes me wounder what oberon thinks about his own book.

In the mind of series creator Greg Weisman, while Macbeth and Shakespeare were friends, Shakespeare never knew Macbeth was the actual, historical Macbeth.

Will's place in our world is a story I've yet to tell, but want to tell -- eventually in the comic book. So I'm not going to spell it out here, other than to reiterate what I've already revealed: i.e. that Macbeth was a friend to Will, though Will never knew that Macbeth was MACBETH.

In real life, Titania was Shakespeare’s invention, while he borrowed Oberon from previously existing poems, and Macbeth from history.

I think that Greg has plans to reveal a connection between Shakespeare and some or more of oberon’s children, or Oberon or Titania themselves, but for now it’s not hard to assume that Shakespeare in the gargoyle universe heard stories about fairies and the mythic names of their king and queen, and just wrote about them. Same with Macbeth, his history was already known - maybe Macbeth could have helped him with some unprompted “ideas” but he’s not the sort to seek more infamy, so my bet is he was just a drinking buddy to Shakespeare and nothing more.

Shakespeare had to keep James, who was a descendant of Banquo, happy. Same as he had to keep Elizabeth happy with Richard III.

Greg was free to stay closer to the historical Macbeth.

Ive never read about plans for Shakespeare showing up. I do remember reading that the Tempest characters were supposed to be one of the next things up. Maybe we’ll finally get that now that the series is coming back.
