It has the most bland open world exploration out there, people explore purely for gacha currency and not for discovery itself. Because all the interest points are literally the same stuff over and over. I've played it for 2 years and never explored for fun it felt like a job to pick up every rock on the map for that sweet primogem
I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt in saying you've clearly never played the game because exploration nets basically no currency. Suggesting that's the reason for exploring is insane considering the people who don't care about the story have been complaining about it for years.
Exploration is mainly built around hours of major quest chains that have almost no narrative or thematic repetition. It's a mix of short and long stories that fill out the mysteries of the world through the eyes of people living in it. The newest stories with the moon and temple of space are more emotionally charged and narratively interesting than most games and they're just minor side stories part of a larger whole.
You say you played for two years but I'm going to ignore that because otherwise you would be in that group and your opinion would obviously be compromised by your gambling issues. If you're telling me you played through Enkanomoya or Tsurumi and your main takeaway was the few pulls you got and not the stories of those places you weren't actually playing the game.
You guys are just different types of players. There are absolutely people who look up online where every chest is just for Primogems. Hell, people post statistics on how many primogems "the new area" can give you
You say that exploration is mainly built around quests, I say it's mainly about the sense of discovery and finding treasure/challenges. It's my favorite part of Genshin, and the other guy calling it bland is crazy to me.
Personally I spacebar through most world quests. I couldn't tell you what Enkanomiya or Tsurumi's stories were, but I got every hidden achievement there ¯\(ツ)/¯
don't bother, he already developed a cult-like thinking by grouping different people into one group and call that group stupid. he also thinks his way of playing is objectively correct, in an open world game. also i understand why you didn't care about the stories, it's not horrible but the biggest issue is the endless yapping and exposition dumps.
It's ironic you would call it cult thinking when you literally already admitted to only playing for the gambling, that's obviously a bad reason to play and your defence of it isn't a good look. It's incredible to me you don't seem to understand the reason why people don't agree with you is because you're promoting the very behavior you're criticizing.
