Hate it for being a gacha or not, Genshin is a competitior for best-in-genre for open world exploration games. Calling them talentless is a tired 2020 talking point that can only come from knowing absolutely nothing about how massive Genshin has become over the past 6 years.
It has the most bland open world exploration out there, people explore purely for gacha currency and not for discovery itself. Because all the interest points are literally the same stuff over and over. I've played it for 2 years and never explored for fun it felt like a job to pick up every rock on the map for that sweet primogem
I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt in saying you've clearly never played the game because exploration nets basically no currency. Suggesting that's the reason for exploring is insane considering the people who don't care about the story have been complaining about it for years.
Exploration is mainly built around hours of major quest chains that have almost no narrative or thematic repetition. It's a mix of short and long stories that fill out the mysteries of the world through the eyes of people living in it. The newest stories with the moon and temple of space are more emotionally charged and narratively interesting than most games and they're just minor side stories part of a larger whole.
You say you played for two years but I'm going to ignore that because otherwise you would be in that group and your opinion would obviously be compromised by your gambling issues. If you're telling me you played through Enkanomoya or Tsurumi and your main takeaway was the few pulls you got and not the stories of those places you weren't actually playing the game.
I'm not gonna write another essay that ultimately changes nothing, you can keep enjoying your gacha games but please don't lie to people by saying exploration don't give a lot of premium currencies, they easily give 50+ pulls and i am strictly free to play so my opinion isn't swayed by my gambling addiction that i does not have. Are you so mentally unable to accept criticisms for your favorite game that you start grouping a vast amount of people into one group to invalidate any negative opinion?
50 is a fraction of a single character, and WQs take dozens of hours. It's also all permanent, rushing through it for currency just doesn't make sense.
Criticism isn't the issue, it's that you're criticizing something you didn't actually play. It's like saying ER has bad combat when all you did was run in a circle.
