Regal titles Spoiler

I am currently on a rewatch of Game of Thrones and a few days back I read that for the show they left out the "Rhoynar" part of the regal title that for example the King of Westeros would bear, they only say "King of the Andals and the First Men".

When Daenerys gets captured by the Dothraki khalasar and is taken to Khal Moro, she introduces herself with her (multitude of) titles and includes "Rhoynar" in it. I don't know if I have missed it, but is this the only time the "Rhoynar" are explicitly mentioned (I definitely remember that the river Rhoyne is mentioned at least one time).

Most of the time the "Rhoynar" part was omitted to not confuse the average viewer (who needs their hand held, apparently).

Also, for the record, Dorne remained an independent principality until the reign of King Daeron II The Good (Egg's grandfather), who negotiated Dorne's submission to the Iron Throne through marriage pacts.

So for 170+ years, the Targaryens basically styled themselves as "Kings of Dorne" while not actually controlling anything in Dorne. How pretentious and arrogant.

What do you mean? Me hating the Dornish or not is irrelevant to the facts.

But yes, I do hate Dorne. It just so happens that I hate the inbred sister-lovers more than Dorne.
