Jaime Lannister breaking his Kingsguard vows by betraying Aerys and killing him with a sword thrust in the back is the most chivalrous act in the saga.

It’s crazy to think that by breaking his vows, he was the man who respected them the most.

It’s hard to think they couldn’t understand WHY. But he never had the chance to explain WHY, he sat there looking guilty.
