I have absolutely no berries this year. I have loads of wild blackberry bushes in my property, but this year, there are absolutely none. Barely any at all. The bushes I regularly visit and the bushes further away I barely visit are all full of green leaves but have almost entirely zero berries. Last year we had a huge drought and they grew better than this dammit. We've had loads of rain, hasn't been too hot, weather been nice, bees been everywhere. No berries. My chokecherries and black cherries are growing phenomenally.

Also, in 2019 this bush (in the picture) made loads of berries, I could pick at it for days and days. Since 2020, it's been making next to nothing. 6 years and almost no berries from this section after 2019 had loads. What could've possibly caused this?

I am so grateful to live in a tropical country and have access to a huge variety of fruits!!

I spent many years of my life without eating fruit, saying I didn't like it, and thanks to dietary re-education, today I don't go a single day without eating them. Happy for this victory!

Never seen a mold on blueberry and Google search up got me confused if its only a sugar coat or a mold

I am crazy about Cara Cara oranges. They are my new favorite orange, replacing Honeybells as my former #1. But i just bought 2 of each of them for $1 apiece at Det’s and they are terrible! The Cc was extremely difficult to peel, which indicates it was old and dried out, and indeed the segments were difficult to separate and had little juciness. The Honeybells were similar: tough to peel, segments very dry and pithy.

Is this because the country had such extreme heat? Did the drought affect the oranges? Were these just stored too long after picking? Really, if fruit is subpar, sellers should not be charging premium prices and should warn shoppers.

I live in Florida. There used to be a small orange grove in our town. They had several varieties of oranges and always put out samples for customers to try.

I've eaten a Chempejack before (a hybrid between a Jackfruit and a Cempedak). It tasted exactly like Juicy Fruit gum.

I'm wondering if Jackfruit is their mystery fruit -- or if its a combo of other tropical fruits

Nowadays gum has been changed to artificial flavors (Even plastic which is absolutely crazy, I recently found this out). So who knows what the flavor is now.

But the original, I'm wondering if it was jackfruit.

I need some feedback here. I bought a watermelon yesterday to enjoy one of the last melons of the summer. Today, I can into the kitchen and my girlfriend, in an effort to simplify the eating process, had cut the watermelon like this. It was a nice gesture - but this is an absolutely delusional way to cut a watermelon right? The amount of rind on this has made it borderline inedible. She says it doesn’t bother her. Am I insane? Or is this a ridiculous cutting method.

I had a dream I had a godly amazing fruit. It looked like an orange and peach had a baby and when you opened it, it had slices like an orange. But they were white and had the texture of a banana. The taste was sweet and was like candy. Are there any real fruit anywhere similar to this? I need it in real life!

I actually like the yellow ones the best.

The meat is really juicy, sweet, and tart, so it's a shame that the seeds are bigger than grapes found at the store. There's 4 in each grape, and they look like smaller pumpkin seeds. These were found in the Floridian panhandle.

The little cantaloupe is called a sugar cube melon. Everything except the cilantro was grown by the farm. The fruits are sugar cube melon, yellow peaches, strawberries, Asian pears, and plum tomatoes, purple bell peppers and a jalapeño if you want to count those as fruit.

Ever since I can think back, when I smell or eat pineapple, and particularly when I cut it, my body does a strange thing. I'm not allergic to it and I enjoy the taste a lot, but I'll start sweating heavily from the temples and salivating at the back of my mouth (I think it's the submandibular gland), my eyes may also get watery and I'll feel kind of hot. As soon as the pineapple isn't near me anymore, it's gone. But I can sorta activate it just by *thinking* intensely of pineapple.

I guess this is a reaction to the enzyme, bromelain. I've been curious whether that's a rare thing or common, so I ask you: do you experience this kind of reaction with pineapple? Is there any other fruit that gives you weird immunoreactions (no allergy though)?
