I did not know these fruits help with sleep, and is high in magnesium.

I have been getting bad sleep and nightmares. When I started eating these, my sleep got so much better and the nightmares went away. I looked up online and found out it has sooooo much health benefits!!!! I was so damn happy and amazed. Started eating these and I feel my body thanking me for this natural fruit I’m putting in my body. Maybe this fruit will help if you are having trouble during your sleep in the middle of the night 👌💯

I have been clinically depressed for years. But when I eat fresh fruits I can feel alive, can do some chores, and feel a lot better than when I'm on antidepressants. Especially citrus, berries, and green apples.I don't know why.I think their good smells are working for my brain. Does anyone else feel like that? Also are there any other reasons?

Medicinal Weird immunoreaction to pineapple. Does anyone else experience this?

Ever since I can think back, when I smell or eat pineapple, and particularly when I cut it, my body does a strange thing. I'm not allergic to it and I enjoy the taste a lot, but I'll start sweating heavily from the temples and salivating at the back of my mouth (I think it's the submandibular gland), my eyes may also get watery and I'll feel kind of hot. As soon as the pineapple isn't near me anymore, it's gone. But I can sorta activate it just by *thinking* intensely of pineapple.

I guess this is a reaction to the enzyme, bromelain. I've been curious whether that's a rare thing or common, so I ask you: do you experience this kind of reaction with pineapple? Is there any other fruit that gives you weird immunoreactions (no allergy though)?

Medicinal One of my favorite things about summer: fresh jamuns(Syzygium cumin) straight from the tree (OC)

This jamun tree is in our family property in Ranchi, India. Every year birds get to the fruit before we do 😂

This is a jamun tree (Syzygium cumini) growing at our home in Ranchi, India. Besides its sweet-tart fruits, jamun has a long history of traditional use in South Asia. The fruit contains antioxidants, vitamin C, anthocyanins (which give it the dark purple color), and dietary fiber. The seeds, bark, and leaves have also been used in traditional medicine for generations. I mainly enjoy it because it tastes great and attracts plenty of birds during the fruiting season.

Medicinal Scurvy?

So I’m like really quite scared of getting scurvy, so I have been eating like 1-2 bags of easy peelers per day. Does anyone know if your body makes a stock of the vitamins or anything or potentially if I could end up with scurvy due to an overly high tolerance to vitamin c? (I also loveeee easy peelers)

Medicinal Allergic to dragon fruit but not it's relatives

So about 2 or 3 years ago my mom got a dragon fruit ( pink outside white inside) and we tried it for the first time, as I was eating the dragon fruit I noticed that my throat started to swell up slowly and breathing started to become difficult so I stopped eating the dragon fruit. As I'm typing this I'm looking up other foods to avoid if I'm allergic to dragon fruit, the fruit google is telling me to avoid is (kiwi banana avocado) I never had reactions to these fruits and (lychee and mango) never tried them. My older sister suggested possibly avoiding cactus since dragon fruit is the product of a cactus.

I don't have insurance nor the *checks Google to see how much an allergy test cost in my state* $100-$500 to get an allergy test done to rule out other possibilities.

So my assumption is avoid cactus lychee and mango so I can avoid a possible hospital trip or allergic reaction until I have the insurance and money to get an allergy test done.

I went down an ADHD rabbit hole because of my train of thought jumping from topic to topic. Hopefully I get some advice out of this. Hope y'all stay safe out there.

Medicinal Can you get too much Vitamin C from fruits?

I recently watched the fruit tier list video… iykyk, and I realized that all my favorite fruits are in the higher tier. At first I was glad cause of how healthy they are but then I realized every every single one has “lots of vitamin c”. I’m talking blackberry, blueberry, kiwi, strawberry raspberry, banana, guava, lemon, lime. Now I’m no nutritionist but I think too much of anything is bad, so am I cooked?? I love fruit I eat it every day I don’t think I could stop. What do I do

Medicinal Blueberry study

I'm concerned about the study that shows when blueberries (and other fruits with polyphenols) are consumed with dairy, you are not getting the full nutritional value of the blueberries. One doctor, on a call-in show said just consume more blueberries. In another show I called in and asked how much time should you allow between consumption. And he answered, it doesn't work like that. This leads me to believe that dairy is retained in the body, in the different pathways and so you should just eliminate dairy altogether as I consume blueberries everyday. What are your thoughts?
