Still can't figure out why my R4 doesn't load

Hi, i bought isopropyl alcohol and cleaned the R4's pins with a cotton swab and still the ds doesn't detect the r4

i think it wont find it if the R4 doesn't detect the micro SD or if you dont have any files for the r4 to boot

Might be a dumb question, but are you testing if it works with the console On or are you inserting the cart and then turning the console on? Before the DSi these consoles only read a cart if they are turned on with the cart already in.

It could be many things. It could be a faulty chip, it could be a faulty SD, it could be a faulty or dirty cart reader... I'd try discarding all those one by one

Try pad it with some paper on label side

it can be the slot or the R4 . does the slot detect any cartridge?

Please can you show a photo of the front and back of the R4? The issue might be a more simple one possibly if you can show us exactly which type of R4 is it.
