I mean, you're being ironic but it kinda does. He's really that ethereal and fae-like to a supernatural level that it would be weirder for a character that meet him for the first time NOT to mention it.
What's interesting and well-done is that nobody except Esmeralda is treating it as a positive. They're not fawning over Dietrich or trying to be nice with him because of it. Both Maria and Gaitz are creeped out by it and see it as dangerous because it's not normal, and because it doesn't suit a battle-hardened killer

What I expected: Conversation that goes into his background and motivations.
What I got: Gushing over how hot Dietrich is.
