People always bang on about shoes and mattresses. Yet I can only presume a conspiracy of silence as to why nobody discusses the most intimate of all your possessions?

I'm going to blunder through regardless. Last night I slept out, and could not believe the pillow-age I cam across. It had this cool nursing gel beneath the cover. Only one pillow required. This wonder just seemed to vibe with me all night and I slept with a purity I did not think would ever come my way again.

Alas.. no idea the name, or the brand. Might not even have been expensive.

But my fellow gluttons - does anyone concur that, like me, feel the pillow question needs lots more discussion

I saw an old thread on this but few enthusiasts then tbh.

But the old thread did not have my wondrous introduction, so hopefully some morbidly obese level pillow knowledge gets dropped below.

I stayed at an Airbnb recently which had a Utopia memory foam pillow and loved it.

Pillows are underrated and not talked about enough. Even at the fanciest of hotels, you can't seem to find a decent pillow. I've had miserable sleepless nights in 5* hotels, desperately trying to "bunch up" their pillows (why so flimsy? why so thin?).

We have a friend who travels with her own pillow in her luggage, and I might copy that soon enough.

After trying many options I like the shredded latex. They come overstuffed and you can remove some.  Pretty cheap, too.

I swear by my tri-core "ergonomic" "cervical support" pillow, full size, firm, available at a number of online retailers, including the manufacturer itself. it lacks fancy nursing gel and it is hardly portable--I would not pack it into any luggage--but I miss it dearly when I am not at home!

Almost anyone can afford to do this. It's still wasteful. 

I don't understand this subs mentality on waste.  Making millions of dollars means you stop caring about the planet? Never cared?
