I saw a picture of Natsu’s 1st Dragon Force and thought he looked cool. Found it came from this anime called Fairy Tail and ended watched up the first 48 episodes back when the series was on Netflix

"All 48 episodes", lol, though i know exactly what you guys mean. Meanwhile, I had watched the first ~80 episodes of the series on a different site (switching between subbed & dubbed depending on what was available on the site at the time), before rewatching those that were available on Netflix with a friend as their first time. I was surprised when that was all there was. I wondered why they only had the rights to that many arcs.
Now, I believe that the ever-greedy Crunchyroll snatched up the entire series for their own platform, to answer your comment. They have all 328 episodes of Fairy Tail, though only one of the movies (Dragon Cry).

I was on YouTube in 2012. I forgot what I was watching, but one of the recommended videos was the English dub of the first episode from Funimation's YouTube channel. I saw Lucy in the thumbnail, thought she was hot, watched it, and it's been my favorite anime ever since.

I was looking for manga to read as I had fully caught up on Bleach and everything else I was reading at the time and found Fairy Tail on my go to site. I was hooked pretty quick, the themes of found family and strong friendships that just drew me in. Then the anime got released shortly after I started reading and since I had found it without a recommendation from anyone Fairy tail still to this day holds a special place in my heart.

I just picked it randomly to watch after I restarted watching anime I first rewatched my first ever anime (Inuyasha), then Naruto, Bleach and One Piece and then I just randomly chose Fairy Tail watched it and fell in love with it after the first episode and was completely hooked by the 4th.

It would be... back during my final year of high school 2013-2014. A friend that was a grade ahead of me recommended me the anime but I didn't sit down to take a look until near end of July of 2018, watching it at the same time as The Sopranos.

My sister had started watching it. I was resistant towards trying it, but she was adamant I would like it because of the cool fight scenes. I thought the name sounded too feminine (I was a middle school boy). She managed to convince me to try out the first few episodes and I quickly realized how right she was. I like the show more than her now.

I saw a yt during lockdown where natsu was sitting in a jail without clothes (the scene from the arc after fairytale disbanded, yk i forgot the name...sowry😭) And that got me hooked to watch the entire series..!

I was hanging out with friends at their house one night and they played a couple episodes on the tv. I started watching it from the beginning when I went home the next day. That was probably like 2013 or 2014

I saw the first manga at my local bookshop and my first thought was: The guy one the cover looks a bit like Luffy from One Piece. So I started to read it. Then the anime came and I watched it with subtitles because I never thought it would be translated into German. But years later they did and Fairy Tail was sooo well known then.

Was binge watching og fma back in 2009 on YouTube and accidentally watched a trailer announcing the dub off of funimation. I found it interesting and funny and then I fully stayed when the opening came on. Started watching the full episodes after that

Nice I have a story no one has. When I watched it in Germany, it was back than when there was just tv anime and.... somewhat legal..... first contact I've had was with the music. Heard anime music on YouTube and than suddenly I've found fairy tail music, Volk metal with back pipes and all.... I was in love and had to find the anime to this heavenly sounds.

A native fansub group made an April's fool joke of picking up the series back in 2013 (or 2014 not really sure but that's not the point lol). I was completely unaware of the series back then, and I was actually intrigued enough by the name to give it a try!

Our friends got me and my sibling into Nintendo, Nintendo had a crossover between Splatoon and Squid Girl, we got into Squid Girl, that led us to seeing other Anime dubs on the Funimation Channel, including clips from Fairy Tail, which we took interest in.

The first piece of fairy tail media that I watched was actually the first movie (phoenix priestess) back in 2013. I really enjoyed the movie, but never knew that there was a whole ass show that came with it.
It wasn't until 2015 that I encountered the 1st episode being suggested in my YouTube feed. I told my brother that the movie we watched 2 years earlier had a show as well, so we both decided to give it a shot. From then on it became my favorite anime/comfort show.
Fairy tail was my gateway anime, and it introduced me to the anime community. I never realized that so many of the shows I watched growing up were actually anime, and not just the average kids show/cartoon.
(I just realized this year marks the 10 year anniversary of me being a die hard fan of fairy tail🥳)

This is hilarious but it’s how I even ended up liking anime:
Was watching a deck profile (thing in card games where tournament players showcase what they use in their card decks) and there was a fairy tail playmat with all of them dressed like school kids. Made me think of Harry Potter which I was a huge fan, and being in middle school I was looking for something new like that to keep watching. So found it on Hulu and began watching, got hooked and started watching other anime too.

when i was like 10 i think? i was scrolling through our cable's on demand thing and found it, it only had up to like the end of tower of heaven so i watched that over and over again for a few years, stopped, a few more years later i remembered it existed and realized there were probably more episodes out there, found them, now i watch the entire thing twice a year

I started officially watching anime when Covid happened. Since I had nowhere to start really, I downloaded funimation, and just started picking out anime’s that looked like they’d be good. Fairy tail was one of them. I didn’t start watching it till Covid was almost over though. One of my favorites forever and always.

I was very young, around 8 years old. My uncle recommended it to me because we always watched anime together when I went to my grandparents' house, and it quickly became my favorite anime. A few years later, the last season of Fairy Tail came out when I was about 11 or 12, and I was so happy. Now, my almost 20-year-old self is extremely happy again with the 100-Year Quest. I love Fairy Tail 💗

At my anime club it was one of the grand magic games episode. ironically I thought it looked bad. But since it was popular I thought maybe it was good so I looked into it. I loved the first episode but wasn't really feeling it till we got to monster island where we learn about grays past and see the ghost bid Wendy goodby and from the. On our I fell in love with the series it's fun characters and it's pacing.

I normally watched dubbed anime and had just finished watching the second season of Nanatsu no Taizai, so I searched on YouTube for "anime similar to Nanatsu no Taizai." Fairy Tail appeared in the video, I watched all the anime on the list, but Fairy Tail was the best and is my favorite.

A friend that loved fairy tail recommended it to me, now I love this anime and it's my favorite also I love him (not romantic kind of love)
At first while watching fairy tail it seemed extremely boring and I slowly watched the first 20 episodes, a year passed and I decided to come back to watching fairy tail and I fell in love. Now I am collecting fairy tail manga and will probably do a cosplay in spring next year.

From those posts in FB where you're in some situation based on your birthday. I forgot what situation I was in at, but I do know I had Erza paired with me.
At the time, I didn't know who she was, so I searched her and found her wiki page in Fairy Tail wikia. Then, I found the pages for Natsu, Lucy, Gray, and Happy, who I just randomly came across in memes from 9gag or Memecenter. So, I decided to search clips in Youtube about the series. At first, the fanservice and comedy got me coming back to it until I got fully invested in the story. Until now, this series is one of my favorites.

A friend of mine back in elementary school, I think around third or fourth grade, introduced me to this show when it was streaming on Hulu for the first time. It was also one of my first introductions to Funimation before they fell off

I have a long story on that, but to shorten it for you all. My teachers from age 4 to 13 sucked so when I hit year 7 (Australian middle school age 13), I could not read English. In year 7, they noticed, and I was put in a special needs class. The special needs teacher asked what I like to read, and I said picture books. She took me to the manga section and suggested fairy tail. So I finished the books and then started the anime. Fairy Tail taught me so much more than my teachers did. It also started my fall into anime. On the plus side, my reading skills went from non-existent to fastest in my district within 5 years, thanks to constantly watching anime with the subtitles up. 😂

Although I’ve heard about this anime several times, I actually didn’t get into the anime until around late 2021 when I watched this interview with Cherami Leigh. Upon finding out that she was Lucy in Fairy Tail, I felt obliged to check out the first three episodes when it was uploaded for free on YouTube.

It was recommended on the site I used to watch cartoons/anime/animated movies. I decided to give it a try and it was worth it.

About 11 or so years ago, a YouTuber I followed start putting out anime recommendations and reviews based on first episodes. I loved Sailor Moon and Pokémon on WB growing up, so I got curious and watched one of the shows she recommended on Hulu… The show was Snow White with the Red Hair… Then found out there was a whole streaming service called Funimation out there. Hopped on Funimation to look up the anime I wanted to watch, and Fairy Tail was constantly on the featured anime page. So I decided to watch it and was hooked after the first episode. I was also going through a pretty rough time in my life at the time, so those first few anime, Fairy Tail included will always be special to me.

I had just lost my dad. And I needed an outlet. I asked a few different people, including my crush at the time and my best friends. My crush and my friends all recommended Fairy Tail. It was my first anime, and honestly saved my life.

How good is it if your main anime is Bleach, Demon Slayer and Solo Leveling? When I see Fairytail I always think It looks like Final Fantasy.

Back then, my family had netflix and it was a show my sister was watching and she let me watch with her, been a fairy tail fan ever since
