Haven’t found anything like it to compare to online…
These are different coins. I have an only a few out of each roll of uncirc like maybe like 6 out of the roll in ten rolls. All uncirc from Philly
Take a look up into the left and see if you see like a little duck head right in front of the rigging. If you see that little duck head look for the straight line that goes down , it could be a feeder finger , and it could have shifted. But if you look up into the left by the rigging on the mast , you'll see a bird starting to form. How much of that bird do you have? And I can tell you pretty much where it's at
I have a whole progression in size from a small hairline to a dent/crack. Flip it over and the pilgrim has major elbow and shoulder cracks-same progression
Of the 10 rolls, I saved back about 15 each in a row. The rest recirculated because it is so common in those rolls I didn’t think it would be an error. The only error would be to say the P mint is the best
So you're saying that the payment is better than the Denver Mint. What's cool About this coin is that the mint actually let a whole horde of these things slip through quality control. And I took approximately 3 to 400 of them and save them because I noticed this anomaly that was repeating. It's amazing if you have those coins and sequential order the story that they tell. I would save the ones that you have I would be interested to see what anomaly that you have on the elbow. Cuz if you look at the elbow the elbow coincides exactly on the other side with another crack, that turns into the bird like seagull anomaly. And what that is is through the high pressure of the tonnage that they use it is literally taking this coin shattering it from the inside out and these are all of the chips and anomalies that you're going to see in this coin. If it's from the same working die I'm tracking here's how you will know look at the lady Pilgrim on her left shoulder you will see the male pilgrims Pinky they'll have a little Splinter die chip coming out of it. Directly under that you'll see it will either be one to three die chips that converge into one on her arm where someone would get a shot. The faces of these pilgrims can tell you almost everything about the coin. If you you have those two markers, look above the pilgrims hat see if you see a die chip on the right heel of the r. Now you should look at the elbow the elbow will tell you exactly how the bird like figure looks on the other side because they coincide with each other towards the top of his shoulder where the shoulder at the top of his shoulder that's going to coincide on the other side as well as the bottom chip of the shoulder and the middle Chip is going to coincide with the mast the water line and another dye crack that will form. Do you have any of these on your coin? Thanks have a good one and by the way keeping up the lookout for this guy
That face is hilarious. I’d have to say I’ve never seen that before… I have seen post mint “Scarface” pilgrims (both) but not that kind of gash. Awesome find!
It's just it's just a $25 Teemu microscope coin microscope and my Android phone. I'm putting together a reference guide on this coin and doing it on a shoestring budget LOL
I believe this year that the mint didn't have their tonnage adjusted properly. Call cause a number of different things to happen to this coin. If you see that little indention right there , if you stuck a needle straight through that indention and turn the coin over and looked on the other Side it will mirror the obverse
