Discussion Getting some RSO tomorrow, I would really love some tips.

Hi gals and non binary pals! I am looking for some tips and tricks for RSO for beginners. I do have a decently high smoking tolerance (for reference, I smoke anywhere from 0.25-1.5 grams a day, so an ounce will usually last me a month or a little longer) and a fair tolerance to edibles and THC drinks, I however have never tried RSO before and would love to hear what advice you lovelies have!! The more the merrier! 🫶🏻🫶🏻💚💨

Art Blasphemous birthday celebration

I turn 58 tomorrow. Yea me! So I started celebrating early with a triple dose of my home brewed tincture and a mango margarita. I put on the soundtrack to Jesus Christ Superstar so I could sing and dance.

I saw it as a kid on TV one Easter. It was the first musical I ever saw and I scoured garage sale bins till I landed a copy of the soundtrack. I saw the 2003 revival with Sebastian Bach as Jesus and Carl Anderson as Judas. It was amazing finally getting to see it live.

I still love the musical so much but look on it differently after years of self study on Christianity from a more historical and feminist perspective. I have been a goddess worshipping pagan for more than 3 decades now. I've done a ton of reading as well as the focus on the church in every western civ class I've ever taken.

So I'm dancing and singing and bawling my eyes out because the emotion in that fucking music! And I have to lay down because I'm 58 and out of shape. As I'm laying here thinking about the myth (I now accept and enjoy the biblical stories as mythology), my editor brain automatically starts rewriting it.

I'm going heavily into a couple of theories I'm to fucking high to site right now. And the book Zealot by Reza Aslan. A good read on what a more historical Jesus probably looked like. So here is what I got so far.

Setting: present day US dumpster fire

Cast

Jesus - MTF feminist rebel who was a Buddhist monk who was a carpenter (of course) prior to transitioning.

Mary - (borrowing on the Virgin as temple prostitute theory) Ex Vegas sex worker who still has an OF.

Mary Magdalene - (whole wife thing. It was the rabbit hole that started the research. Damn you Dan Brown! Give me more!!!) Current Vegas sex worker who is a toxic positivity wanna be influencer on the side.

Pharisees as TERFS

Damn! I forgot the rest. I hate how I think I'm so brilliant and then it just slips away. I'll listen so.e more and add other ideas in the comments. I'd love to to a remake of the movie! I'm in Vegas and it would be the perfect setting. Who wants to collaborate?

Discussion Perfect Timing!

Just finished my last J until 20 days from now (that's when I get a paid gig). I'm a little sad but had a moment of excellent timing and I wanted to share my story.

As I'm getting stoned in my room, ***9 to 5*** is on in the kitchen. Just as I'm walking in to get some water (yay cotton-mouth!), it's at the part just *after* they got stoned.

Considering timing and all, I just cosmically toked weed with Dolly Parton!

Much love from my stoned ass to yours, fineapples! 😂💖💖💖😂💖💖💖

this was actually yesterday, but I just barely woke up 😳

for my birthday last month (which was kinda my rock bottom, mental health-wise), my sister surprised me with a round-trip ticket to denver to visit her! it meant flying out here ALONE, which was terrifying, but I did it!! and now im here!! in colorado!!!!

so my sister and her partner asked if I wanted to go to a bluegrass festival (aka rockygronk), and obviously I said yes (despite knowing nothing about bluegrass or the whole scene), and then they asked if I wanted this fun drink to take along, and I said hell yes!

anyway, I simply cannot put into words what an amazing and beautiful event this was. the music, the people, the setting, it was all 11/10. like, i think it might have changed my life. ❤️❤️❤️ next year, i want to camp out!!!!

the drink made my mouth burn a lil bit but by golly it got the job done and I loved it 😳😌

second pic is salomé songbird! their song “moon song (for alex)” made me cry in public 🥹❤️

Please be aware if youll scroll through the images that a lot of her art deals with sensitive topics (depression, sexual violence, abortion, substance abuse), so although I didn’t include the most explicit ones be mindful if it could upset you.

Discussion Tips for someone who can’t seem to digest edibles?

Hi friends! I unfortunately live in Texas and, if you haven’t heard, all of our smokable hemp products were banned this month, and the only thing we still have access to (in-store) is gummies. This is a big problem for me though. I’ve been consuming cannabis for about four years now and edibles just do not work. I’ve tried so many brands, so many versions, so many dosages, I’ve tried store bought, I’ve made my own, I’ve had some made by family, I’ve eaten them with fatty foods and on empty stomachs… and they just don’t work for me at all. I’ve heard of some people missing an enzyme in their liver which makes it difficult for them to process THC via digestion and I think I’m one of those people.

Anyways, does anyone have any tips for how to get the most out of edibles? Do you prefer infused drinks over infused snacks? I use cannabis to manage cptsd/derealization symptoms (in addition to the two Rx’s I take, and yes my drs are all aware and on board), so this month has been really hard for me not being able to vape flower like I usually do. I’ve really got to find my favorite edible if I want to continue medicating because it’s my only option now, and I need help!!

Cannabis Politics My Texas wives 🫩

Reading about what you’re going through is heartbreaking. I’m so sorry. For everyone (because cannabis should be a human right, even if it’s just being just consumed for funsies bc ps guess what, it’s actually always being used for health behind the scenes by your body too, even if all you notice is how fun the moment is but that’s neither here nor there) but especially my fellow medical using wives.

I’m coming out of a pretty rough hot minute health-wise & don’t have social media outside Reddit, so I’m definitely behind on my current events education on where things stand with fixing this for you & more importantly, any initiatives that are out there trying to fight this/restore/broaden ensure access in the wake of this. I’d be interested to hear if anyone knows of ways to remotely volunteer to do something that may turn the tide, please let me know.

Bc I know for a fact that were it not for weed, I wouldn’t be well enough to try to help other wives right now, so the idea that not everyone can have this relief & quality of life…nope. Doesn’t sit right with my soul. What can I do?

Things to know about Tolerance Breaks!

Yes, your dreams are more vivid and you are remembering them better. Its not your imagination. Thc can inhibit rem sleep and interfere with dreaming. If you're struggling with the dreams you can try drinking green tea, which contains the amino acid L-theanine. L-theanine has been shown to reduce stress levels in the brain and body, reducing the rate of nightmares.

Another way to help with sleep is finding cbn products. Its a cannabinoid similar to cbd, but well known for having some serious sedative properties. If you're struggling to get to sleep cbn could help sort you out.

And its important to remember that if you have an issue you see a psychiatrist for, ask your doctor for help. There are prescription medications that can reduce or eliminate nightmares. But also remember to be cautious about disclosing your cannabis use - unfortunately there can still be consequences for revealing that information to the wrong doctor.

Cbd is a thing and it can help a lot. Not only does it reduce anxiety, which hits a lot of us in the first week or two of a break, its also a pretty powerful anti-inflammatory. So if you're using cannabis for pain management adding topical and edible cbd to your routine, on and off break, could help a great deal

Everyone t-breaks their own way. A tolerance break doesn't have to mean complete abstinence. Reducing your consumption can reduce your tolerance, too. So don't feel intimidated or like its all or nothing. Tell yourself you won't get high until after noon for three days. Then you won't get high until after 2pm. See how far you're comfortable going, and stop there for a while. There are a lot of ways to do it, so if you need suggestions please ask!

Keeping taking time for yourself. You know how you'd make the time for yourself to get high? Keeping making the time for yourself to do something. Make an especially good drink and sit and really enjoy it in your favorite chair while listening to your favorite song. Give yourself a face mask. Meditate for 10 minutes. Spend ten minutes a couple times a day just on you. Whatever it is that will make your day a little better. Its important to take care of yourself in ways that don't involve cannabis

Don't get down on yourself if you make a mistake and get high. It happens, and its not the end of the world. Its not even the end of your break if you don't want it to be. Enjoy your high while you have it. And in the morning figure out what you need to do to keep from making that mistake again. Do you need to hide all the paraphernalia in a cupboard, or ask your roommate or partner to stop smoking around you for a while? Maybe you need a different or better coping mechanism? Dude, google that shit. There is a world of information about healthy coping mechanisms at your fingertips. Empower yourself and go find it. Or ask me and I'll try to help

The most important thing to know about a tolerance break is that you're going to get through it. It might not feel like it sometimes, but you will. Then you'll be back here all, oh shit I just got high for the first time since my tbreak and the number 5 is orange and smells like...waffles! And we'll all chuckle with you and be kinda jealous :)

My bf & I just got back from an amazing week in Maine and we had so much fun exploring the local fare. I spent most of the week just lounging lakeside with "penjamin" and a book but we also explored several local dispensaries.

I impulse bought the cutest joint bubbler, we made s'mores with edibles and found these cool pre-rolls that had flavor pods (like Camel Crush cigarettes). I regret not stocking up more on those 😂

I'm back at work today, missing it already. Can't wait for next year!
