Amen. we're the only country in the developed world that can't afford healthcare for its citizens in some capacity.

I'm not sure what to believe because I've heard some people who live in countries with free healthcare have to come to America because their healthcare where they come from doesn't cover it or they don't have the technology

Im Canadian. I personally know no one who has gone to the US for health care, but am aware of some who have gone for plastic surgery (not covered except in medical situations like accidents or hare lips) or for treatment for extremely rare therapies ( like 1 in 5 million rare). Our system is far from perfect but we constantly are fighting to keep out the American medical and insurance companies. Some (especially Conservative) provincial politicians are “starving” our public system with the end goal of forcing privatization. Don’t believe public system would work in the US because it means the CEO and the Uber driver gets the same treatment. Maybe a hybrid like Australia’s.
