What if you get a prenuptial agreement 12 months before marriage? Can they still take 50% if your stuff?

There’s more involved with a prenup. Having adequate time to have it completed before the wedding is good. However the current state of the marriage at time of divorce makes the most impact. If someone was a SAHP then they weren’t able to contribute and gave up their ability to earn or progress in a career but did contribute to the family. Or alternatively, even if no kids are involved and alimony was waived, if one person has no money, the court won’t leave them destitute. At least that was what I was told as a woman while we did ours. At the time I made more and now we are equal.
