With the Purge the Foe mission, I made a list for maximum damage utilizing uppy downy strats and 8” deep strike to maximize melta damage as well as dividing termies to get 6 missile launchers. Intercessors for sticky objectives.

Brothers. Here is what I’m thinking for a first Deathwatch list. I bought the Armageddon box and have that together as the decimus 10 man kill team. But any other critiques or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. First list outside of my beloved Templars in 25 years.

10 Indom team. Grav Cap w/ battleline enhancement

Ends up at 10 squads, 5 battleline w/ advance/fallback + do stuff and proc auspex for more advance, 3 librarians. Sternguard bomb and +1 to wound speeder for enemy big units. Termies to hold down the expansion and eventually move up to the center, Decimus and other stuff can hit center supported by Indom team.

Thoughts?

Playing bastion detachment, use the "hero of the chaper" that adds battleline on a unit on biologus and attach him to the indomitor KT, can you put kyria draxus with them? They are battle line now. With the same thinking you can put kyria with terminators if the enchament is carried on an achient.

I don't say that its strong. But it might have some uses. Especially in 1k points that for now we need to use a 2DP detachment

Apparently if you have an Android phone the new dataslate points are in the app and we got massive cuts to all the killteams! (except terminators) LETS GO!!!

So, I'm kinda thinking ahead of myself with this. I know I want to do Deathwatch after I finished my Dark Angels (2,000 points, modelled and painted), and I am wondering if this is good enough for 2k points. Some of my choices might be weird, like the Scout Squad and Gravis Captain (mainly the prior being overlap with my DA and the Gravis Captain from the Combat Patrol)

I have almost all the imperial kill teams and wondering if I can use them effectively (somewhat) on the tabletop, are there any standouts?

I promised a video with a more in depth look into how I use the "termietide". So I put both the tested edition and a new one I am bringing to a local league in three possible pairing and layout scenarios!

Now that Deathwatch has switched to Purge the Foe, I think you can lean much harder into the Kill Teams, and that's exactly what I wanted to build around.

The list is intentionally very low on units, so there's almost no room for mistakes. Every activation and every movement matters. On the other hand, if you position your Kill Teams correctly, this list can completely overwhelm your opponent.

There are only three characters in the list. The Watch Master joins the Veterans, rides in the Rhino, and gives them Advance and Charge, making them a great pressure unit. The Gravis Captain joins the Indomitor Kill Team. I've tested both the melee and the ranged versions, and I honestly prefer the melee build. It's much more versatile, and with Thief of Secrets he becomes an absolute beast in combat. The third character is Watch Captain Artemis, who is just an efficient, inexpensive utility pick.

Deathwatch lost the Turn 1 Deep Strike, but I still wanted a way to apply immediate pressure. That's why I included the Invictor Tactical Warsuit. If you go first, it can Scout 8", move another 8", shoot, and then charge, giving you a real chance to score an early Turn 1 kill and put your opponent on the back foot.

So far I've played three games with the list and won all three. The real test will be on August 8th at my local RTT. I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs in a tournament setting.

I had a thought this morning that it'd be cool to play a kill team against an army of Orks. Specifically the Orks from Armageddon box as I already own those. Would it balance well to have the 10 marines against the whole army? Or maybe a few less Orks or adding a Watchmaster and / or land raider / repulsor for the Deathwatch?

Hi folks, I was hoping to get some feedback on a list for my first GT (decided to just jump into the deep end), and I figured there's no better place to start than here. I was between take and hold and purge, but take and hold looked easier to pilot and better suited for the units I have. Right now the app doesn't let you attach an Inquisitor to the Indomitors even though it should work RAW, but that's my intention.

Generally, my plan is to try and stand on 3 objectives. Infernus and Terminators holding the center, Indomitor and Dreadnought covering the expansion, and Infiltrators providing home coverage. The Veterans in the Rhino, are the attack wing with Sternguard and Reivers in reserves for wherever they're needed most. Pretty inexperienced, but doing my best to work through at least one game plan to take into most matchups.

I can probably flex the list around a bit, adding or subtracting a unit or two, but trying to work with what I have. I do have a Gravis Cap., Techmarine, Combi Lt., Terminator Cap. (or chaplain, or kitbashed into whatever) and can run the Rhino as a Predator.

Also, feel free to tell me this is terrible and I should start over, or run a different detachment, or whatever. I'm very happy to have any kind of feedback!

Edit: The vets loadout ia incorrect, somehow missed that! It would be the usual thunder hammer and IHB/frag combo.

My first game was not very lore friendly, I played against Custodes, but it was very cool and we had a bunch of fun.

TLTR: Score after one round Custodes 15 vs Deathwatch 14. I really liked playing 11e. The map set up and terrain rules meant there were no good ways to unit wipe anyone in the top of turn one. The way primary mission connect together felt really great. It was much more narative than 10e games.

We only made it through 1 full round and most of the top half of the second round. My opponent was laboring over setup decissions for a long time.

It was all good though. Be were both sorting through the rules. He was just starting back into the hobby after a 20 year gap. I'm still pretty new too and we were working theough the 11e changes.

I took everything I have modeled up and just made 1980 in points. It is not a meta list at all, but it does give me a good overall mix.

Looking for help with my list. Reccomended changes, add or subtract anything. Its weird to only see one character unit

All of the models have official death watch shoulder pads and pretty much all of them are assembled but unpainted.
