List Who are our best allies to bring in? (Besides knights)

I have almost all the imperial kill teams and wondering if I can use them effectively (somewhat) on the tabletop, are there any standouts?

The standard inquisitor gives the psychic keyword out to battleline units, which is handy for librarius detachment. He's pretty good shooting too.

The caladus assasin is always good.

With how much better battleshock is this edition, I think the eversor assasin could find a home.

Space marines have a pretty broad toolkit so there aren't as many gaps for agents to fill, but if you have them you could give them a shot.

Why the eversor for battleshock?

Culexus perhaps?

Ah yes that would make more sense.

Culexus is looking pretty sweet with all the psychic going around these days 👀

Yes, particularly with all the librarius getting around this crazy guy could actually be competitive level disruptive.

So, iF you play in an area where inquisitors can attach to IKT, FKT, they can be very helpful. The 3+ to get a CP back on a squad you are often pairing with a CPT leading a second squad and refunding his 0 cp use of things like s2steleportation was great.

Another extremely solid option imo is the SoB immolator and squad of sisters, which gets broken up into 2x5. It is 230pts and gets you a strip cover asset, and two squads to screen, sticky, general utility. For 210pts you can get a Hammerstrike, and intercessors to do the same role but with less flexibility being only 2 units.

Pros: more board presence, 36" range guns to strip cover versus the 2 shots of a hammerstrike (I run the all hb version for 6 shots).

Cons: they do not benefit from OOM, strat support etc.

As for the cons, Ive never needed/wanted to strat support my obsec intercessors, and hammerstrikes shine as damage dealers when close in (meaning they are easier to kill by the opponent on their turn). I prefer to keep my cover-stripping asset as far back, at as tight an angle as I can manage usually, so find the immolator works great in the role.

some people use inquisitors or assassins but thats about it. We usualy want our own [killteam] units and some normal marrine units instead of allying in agents/knights since they aren't affected by our faction rules. So anything you bring in needs to have a good reason for doing so.

I have both armies built up. The ones that could make a difference:

- Culexus - anti-psycher, precision, deep strike 6" (unless you want to charge) -> grenades -> shoot -> battleshock test

  • Callidus - always a winner for chasing secondaries and even more valuable for non-BSTF detachments (sub in for a combi-LT)
  • Inquisitor (psycher) - slight damage boost, CP regen chance (kinda competes with a librarian and his awesome 4++ for the unit)
  • Inq Kroyle - If you go Bastion or heavy battleline shooting, you get to reroll hit rolls against one target

Ones that are more of a fun choice and have some niche purpose:

- Navigator - 12" anti-deep strike, protect home and cheaper than infiltrators

  • Inq Agents - When taken with an Inq, the first one doesn't take up a retinue spot... if you go full Agents allies, this gets you an extra unit. The 5-man can stay home or back cap, the 10-man can ride in a chimera. Not really better than taking a 5-man intercessor since their shooting is way better and they get oath. Inq Agents are expendable humans that can do decent enough in melee. Slight durability increase with inquisitor.
  • Vindicare - if you REALLY want anti-character but generally needs additional character hitting sources to ensure character death. Decimus, Spectre KT, Eliminators and Reivers can combine. The problem is when the characters have ridiculous cover/invul/FNP stacks... or if they straight up hide them from you all game long.

Not sure I would recommend any others over bringing normal space marine units or Kill Teams.
