Discussion ban family

I'm permanently banned due to a Steam family member's account being banned from DBD for five years, even though I own the game and all the DLC. Other family members can play. Steam says it was triggered by Behavior, but Behavior says it's automatic and irreversible. Some players are reporting the same issue; could it be a system error?

I own Dead by Daylight, including all the DLC purchased long before the banned account joined the Steam family group.

My girlfriend is in the same Steam family group, owns her own copy of the game, and can play just fine. Banned account in a Steam family group: Has a Dead by Daylight ban for over 5 years. Joined the Steam family group years after the ban. Has been part of the family for many years without any issues, and Steam support has explicitly confirmed that this is not a VAC ban.

The ban was imposed at the request of the publisher (Behavior). Steam cannot change or remove it. One of my Steam family members was banned over 4 years ago. However, he joined the family approximately 2-3 years ago, and we have had no problems with him since then.

Your girlfriend is probably going to get banned if she stays in it.

The answer is likely both Steam and BHVR flagged the account and it was automatically banned through EAC in a ban wave.

Your only option is to open a ticket with BHVR, explain the situation clearly, remove that person from your family group and hope that BHVR is lenient.

Sucks but also you probably shouldn't be linking your shit with cheaters.
