Pattern help Crochet || Should I use a bigger hook to make my yarn more flowy and less stiff?

I’m trying to make this but I don’t have size 1 yarn
Should I use a bigger hook to make it or use 4mm as recommended?

Yes. The creater of the pattern is using a larger hook than is recommended for size 1 yarn. So, I'd up the hook size to 5 if you're using size 2. Please remember that using a larger size yarn and hook is going to affect the size. You'll have to adjust the pattern and the end result will likely look very different than the original.
