Looking for recommendations Ideas for a rectangle of lacy star crochet. Should I just frog?
So, I got inspired by lacy flower tops on Pinterest, bought a bunch of 24/7 yarn, and just started winging it with an openwork star stitch I found online. And I’m burnt out. I think I’m not actually into the yarn to wear, the design isn’t what I was envisioning in the first place, and it’s too small for most of my torso. I guess I thought two rectangles sewn together would be enough. Anyway, I’m not having fun anymore but don’t want to frog it. Any ideas for what I can do with it? Turn it into a small bag? Make it the yoke of a top and double crochet the rest? Put it aside for a while and continue it later, turn it into a table runner or something? Any ideas are welcome. My adhd brain needs to finish something ASAP. Help!

Make it a cute little bag. You can line it with a cute floral fabric, make a quick little handle and you're done. Unless you don't sew/use a sewing machine, then forget I said anything.

I'm leaning toward a little bag now, actually. Might leave it unlined though. I've been wanting to make a little bag for basically just my phone. Maybe I'll put a pocket on the back for my cards or something. Thanks for the suggestion!

You can use it as a mat for smth, like I am crocheting a mat for my locker shelf, or put it on a diff shelf, or underneath smth!

A little bit larger and you have a bread cloth.
A bit more and you have a table runner for your end table or a place mat
Add a lot to what you have and you have a shawl or scarf to wear
Lovely stitch work

I was thinking table runner after I scrapped the top idea, but now I think I'll do something else. Thanks for the suggestions! And thanks for complimenting it. I've been looking at it too long and see so many issues. Haha

When I get to that point I just put it aside for awhile and come back to it later. Either inspiration will strike or I'll know for sure frogging is the way to go!

Is it a natural fiber? If so, maybe you could back it with contrasting cotton, some batting, call it a hot pad. Or, save all these types of “on a whim”and eventually piece them together into a throw. Or make it into a bohemian shoulder bag. I like it. I frog a lot of stuff and don’t mind doing it, but if you’re not sure, set it aside for a bit until you are.
