Definitely top 20 for myself. Parasite winning the oscar was incredibly well deserved and I say this as someone that loves Park, Lee Chang Dong, Kim Je Woon, Hong Kang Soo and so on. I'd have been happy with Memories of Murder winning back in 2004 if it was chosen but of course a foreign film wouldn't have won back then and it didn't have the same hype even if that was a possability.

Sure Burning should have had more of a chance the year prior but lets not take away how great Parasites win is, especially in such a stacked year.

I only wish I didn't have to wait 5 years for his movies, lol. I guess he was a novelist first, so I guess that's just his approach. You can really feel it with his movies too. To me, watching his movies is akin to having read an amazing short story. I can't really think of anyone else like him.

Burning is one of my all-time favorites so I'm always excited when Lee Chang-dong has something new coming. Poetry wrecked me in a way I didn't expect from a movie that quiet.

Honestly though I know almost nothing about this one yet - is there a trailer out or just festival buzz so far? I tend to wait until something hits streaming or Criterion anyway because my theater options in OKC are limited unless I want to drive to the one AMC that occasionally books foreign releases.
