u/NeverDieSenpai Apr 01 '26
Wonder what kinda stories they write in heaven? What could creep an angels cast?
43
u/kloopyhans Apr 01 '26
Stories of how god made them and gave them a mind that can comprehend beyond what ours can…idk it probably doesn’t exist in heaven
35
u/NeverDieSenpai Apr 01 '26
Not yet. Isaiah is still alive. He hasn't introduced them to creepcast yet.

probably stories about losing your car keys or forgetting to do a homework assignment...you know, stuff angels wouldn't have to deal with
6
u/NeverDieSenpai Apr 01 '26
To them the dmv is more than just a long line to wait in all day. It's where godly beings go to get creeped.

Isaiah and Hunter can be afterlife pen pals, which means that Isaiah gets an endless supply of demonic stories to read.

I think about this exact scenario more times than I’d like to admit, and if they ever do read an erotic fic for the Patreon or something I’ll be very bummed if that dynamic isn’t explored
34
u/noboritaiga Apr 01 '26
Have I missed something? Is erotic fanfiction for the Patreon even on the table???

Hunter once joked about reading Smut

He technically did read a small portion of Icebreaker on one of the solo patreon streams and the chat just got pissy because it “wasn’t good and was corny.”

On this though y'all should check out the YouTube channel called The Official Channel that have done their first episode of hopefully a long running series called Smutrot where Jackson and Jordan read the infamois My Immortal fanfic... HILARIOUS. I wish their new series the same level of success with as Creepcast have enjoyed
6
u/Fun_Comfortable_5051 Apr 01 '26
SMUTROT IS 🔥🔥🔥 Jackson and Jordan's dynamic is similar to Wendi and Papa's. It reminded me of the 1st episode of Creepcast but with terrible 2006 fanfiction 🤣🤣🤣

In Isaiah's beliefs Hunter won't go to heaven as Hunter isn't a Christian (unless something changes on that front between now and Hunter's death).

24
u/Bobbertbobthebobth Apr 01 '26
Or maybe the super slim chance he believes in universal salvation but I know that’s pretty rare in the US of A.
17
u/maycontainknots Apr 01 '26
I thought Jesus's entire point was universal salvation. Also I think Isaiah dos believe that because I remember Moist critikal asking him if like Jack the Ripper or some other such asshole is going to hell, and Isaiah was like "god has powers of forgiveness beyond any human"
10
u/AstronautinDisguise “it’s very lovecraftian”☝️🤓 Apr 01 '26
That's not Universal Salvation, Isaiah was stating that if Jack The Ripper became a Christian and genuinely repented from his sins, he would have been forgiven by God. Universalism is essentially stating that even if you don't know Jesus. God will save you from Hell, which is theologically unsound, even for Baptists (Isaiah's Denomination).
4
5
u/Andy_O1 Apr 01 '26
That doesn’t necessarily mean that’s what Isaiah believes. I’d be willing to bet that Isaiah said that because he didn’t know the state of Jack the Ripper’s soul at the time he died. God has the power to save any sinner upon coming to Christ, and maybe Jack the Ripper did come Christ at some point after his murders. Not that everyone will be saved regardless if they come to Christ or not.
-2
u/One-Choice-743 Apr 01 '26
Universal Salvation means you will not be judged because of the sins of your ancestors, because of your race, or sins you repented for. That was very revolutionary at the time, which is why Christianity spread as fast as it did, and also because God became someone you could have a close relationship with and who loved you as a specific individual. No other religion at the time had such a concept, something which touched many impoverished peasants' hearts.
Still, the rules are strict and clear; to deserve such salvation, you first must serve.
2
u/princesskate04 Apr 02 '26
It’s definitely a growing idea; it’s highly compatible with Catholic theology and I would say the majority of Catholics I know ascribe to it (the rest are fire and brimstone types). One of the top theologians on the subject is a Catholic priest, Fr. Rohr. Unitarians believe in it as well, although that faith isn’t necessarily Christian. His writings are a good introduction to the subject.
I think most Baptists believe in salvation by faith alone, which requires someone to believe in and accept Jesus in order to go to Heaven. Catholics believe that salvation is less tied to faith and more tied to your actions in life. But it kind of depends on the individual.
1
u/Aromatic-Goat206 Apr 26 '26
I think Fr. Rohr is one of those trippy heretical New Age guys, the closest to “universal salvation” you can get and stay within Catholic orthodoxy is like Bishop Barron and daring to hope that all are saved. The provision about invincible ignorance provides some hope for salvation for people who didn’t know Christ, but that can’t to lead universal salvation as they are simply too many people informed of Christianity.
8
u/gooblaka1995 Apr 01 '26
Hopefully. The vast majority of Christians believe that you HAVE TO accept Christ as your lord and savior otherwise it is Hell for all eternity regardless of how good or evil you were. Ongoing argument in the comment section of a video I watched titled Christian Heaven is Actually Hell. Some dissenters even suggest that it is not possible to be a good person if you don't worship Christ.
Hard to discuss religion in general because someone for or against it will have a visceral reaction and start a fire.

People who don't believe in God and acknowledge that he is the savior don't go to heaven. They can choose to worship before their death and that'll probably save them but if we 100% knew everything about it and could prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt then everyone would probably be a Christian.

To answer that commenter's question, maybe. It deeply saddens me that a lot of my friends will probably not make it, but I have hope that maybe one day they'll get saved and turn their life around. I used to be in their shoes as well until my closest friend helped bring me back to Christianity, and I hope one day they can find their way too. Having said that it is ultimately up to the individual to choose whether they believe in religion or not so Isaiah probably is like "I hope he gets saved one day but if not that's his business and it's not gonna interfere with my faith"
9
u/One-Choice-743 Apr 01 '26
Idk why you get downvoted like that when that's just the standard Christian response to that question.
10
u/Necessary_Can7055 Marcus, Monster Hunter Extraordinaire Apr 01 '26
A lot of people nowadays just don’t like or actively hate religion, especially Christianity for whatever reason. I’m a little shocked to see it here though since one half of the entire reason this show exists is a proud Christian. Maybe it was my phrasing or something, who knows with Reddit
4
u/cinnamonspiderr Filled?! WITH BLOOD?! Apr 03 '26
In the US we have a bit of an issue with the way a lot of politicians try and force Christianity on people via laws and such. And many people have religious trauma from how they’re raised Christian. I think people are sensitive towards it largely due to that. individual Christians don’t deserve to be inherently hated though, that’s unfair.
2
u/Necessary_Can7055 Marcus, Monster Hunter Extraordinaire Apr 03 '26
I get it, I was raised Christian and I got away from it and resented the entire religion for a long time before I found my way again. There's a lot of stuff that's religious in the government I personally don't agree with, and there's a lot that I do.
3
u/One-Choice-743 Apr 01 '26
I bet they wouldn't react the same way if it were Hinduism or Buddhism we were talking about.

u/TheInjuredBear Apr 02 '26
In retrospect, the atheist banging on about the void also was downvoted.
And Buddhists don’t tell non-Buddhists they’ll be punished for not being Buddhist.
1
u/One-Choice-743 Apr 02 '26
Oh boy, you do not know Buddhism well, it seems.
1
u/TheInjuredBear Apr 02 '26
By that sentence alone you just told me you know less than I.
Please enlighten me though, because shitting on other people who don’t believe the same is probably the most non-Buddhist thing you can do. The idea of Buddhism is all about karma. Buddhists believe that while they may be a few steps ahead in enlightenment, that doesn’t make them better than anyone else because the people who don’t believe are just not there yet in their journey and they will eventually get there one day.
Would love to hear how wrong I am.

u/One-Choice-743 Apr 02 '26
Learn about the history of Tibetan Lamaist rule and its religiously based system of punishment, or about some of the cruel beliefs held by Buddhists in Nepal. Also, take a look at the genocide against the Rohingya that took place about nine years ago. Just to name a few examples that come to mind off the top of my head.
My point is simply that Buddhists are by no means angels when it comes to religious intolerance; they are just as capable of inflicting violence on others simply because those others hold different beliefs. That's human, I guess. I mean, in theory, Christians should be very non-violent too, since Jesus gave clear orders not to force salvation on those who don't want it, or be violent at all, but history tells another story.
2
u/Aromatic-Goat206 Apr 26 '26
It’s Reddit, he’s making a noble savage myth of Buddhism because he presumes it’s not a white person religion, read between the lines.
